Bacon Bear Bar is a bear bar on Carrer de Casanova in the Gaixample, Barcelona's main gay district. The crowd is hairy, bearded and mostly men in their thirties and up, both locals and visitors, and the bar is known for being friendly and easy to talk to. Expect a straightforward drinking bar, not a club. It opens around 6:30pm every day and closes at 2:30am, or 3am on Friday and Saturday. It is small and gets crowded later in the evening, especially at weekends and during Bear Week in early December. Other Gaixample bars are within a few minutes' walk, so it fits easily into a bar crawl.

Bacon Bear Bar is chaotic in the best way possible. Fun crowd, great music, and drinks strong enough to make you start oversharing with strangers. The pours are HEAVY and prices surprisingly good for Barcelona. Carlos behind the bar is honestly one of the main reasons to go — crazy fun, keeps the energy up, and makes the whole place feel like one big ridiculous party. Definitely a must if you’re looking for a fun bear bar with zero pretentious vibes.
