Zarpa is a gay bar on Calle de las Infantas in Chueca, Madrid's main gay neighbourhood. It is generally listed as a bear-leaning bar with a mostly male crowd, and it runs late: listed hours are 21:00 to 03:00 Wednesday and Thursday, to 03:30 on Friday and Saturday, and to 02:00 on Sunday. It is closed Monday and Tuesday. Like most of Madrid, it starts slowly, with crowds arriving after midnight at weekends. Several other Chueca bars are within a couple of minutes' walk, so it is easy to fold into a longer night out.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The doorman was unpleasant. He has absolutely no manners. Learn how to treat people or don't work in customer service. Have some empathy, or at least try. He's arrogant, overbearing, and has no manners. Response: (No intention to lie) Instead of saying that everyone lies, as I see in other reviews, and telling people they're not important, have the humility to improve. Whoever is at the door, whatever their role, is rude. He's rude, and you're another one.
