Rössli

Rössli is the bar of the Reitschule, Bern's self-managed cultural centre at Neubrückstrasse 8 beside the railway viaduct. It's a rough-edged, cheap, left-alternative bar with concerts and DJs, not a gay venue. It's listed because the Reitschule complex matters to queer Bern. The Queersicht film festival grew out of it, the Reitschule cinema screens festival films, the Dachstock club hosts the Queersicht party, and the women's collective Frauenraum runs events here. On an ordinary night the crowd is mixed. Check reitschule.ch for the current programme.
