Dalmazi (Aare) ⚠ Unverified Own this place?

Dalmazi is a stretch of riverside green along the Aare by the Dalmazibrücke, on the Marzili side below the Old Town. In summer it fills with swimmers and sunbathers. Older gay guides mention it as an informal meeting spot, but we found no recent independent sources, so treat that as dated. It's a public riverbank, not a venue. Same-sex relationships are legal in Switzerland, while sex in public places can be fined. The Aare is cold and fast here, so only swim where locals do. For a dedicated space, use Bern's two gay saunas.
