この砂丘は公共のビーチであり、自然保護区域でもあるため、散歩する人々、家族連れ、犬の飼い主などに利用されています。イギリスでは、他人が見える場所で性的行為を行うと逮捕される可能性があります。2025年4月には、露出行為に関する通報を受け、ランカシャー警察が制服警官および私服警官によるパトロールを実施しました。合法的な選択肢としては、ブラックプールにはW3とAcquaという2つのゲイサウナがあり、ディクソンロードにあるMan Barでは男性限定のクルーズクラブが開催されています。
