Such a gorgeous park to visit. If you are in glasgow this park is a must visit. Totally surprising to see so many different flowers. Too many colors. Fed some squirrels too. Very peaceful near the water and relaxing to sit and relax for a wee bit. There is no fees for the park. Roamed around the whole day. Time here just passes by. Love sitting by the river. It is such a calming experience everytime i go. All kinds of busy level all day, you still find your spot and your area. Love how everyone respects your space and the best part its dog friendly..
Lovely walk round the park on a sunny day. Lots.of people enjoying the park and dog walkers. There are also loads of amazing photos to be taken around the park.
Briefly ventured in and out of here yet if the beautiful birdsong is anything to go by, not to mention the sound of the waterfall I highly recommend it! 🐦 ✅💚
Beautiful and very large park, with plenty of place to rest and also there is a park for children to play. But it wasn't the best I've ever seen in my life
Amazing park. So much to do and very clean. Could spend the full day here with my husband, taking in the city. On such a glorious day it was really special
Glasgow is the city with the most parks in the UK This is probably the biggest but also the most beautiful with activities streets for walking or running, WC, river, pub ideal for walking and relaxation spring and summer but also the other two seasons but not days with a lot of rain
Accosted by a husband wife combo who looked off it. Disgusting people who should keep their habits in their own homes for everyone’s sake.
We arrived in Glasgow and were heading for the university and the kids wanted to play. So we took a detour and stumbled across this. Really lovely views, especially when the weather is nice Park is great for the kids
"Hidden gem". Really quiet, idyllic and delicious area. In Denmark, there is a modern concept called "balsam for the soul" (conditioner for your soul). That's really what this place is. Many oases. Many benches. A stream flowing through. And surrounded by the "castle"/towers. You don't have to travel several hours for this. But if you are in the area, you should not deceive yourself about the tranquility that is offered here.
Amazing space in the centre of the city. We visited the Museum and had a quick visit to the Arts Centre (Clip and Climb). The park offers great views of Glasgow’s architecture, as well as gives access to green spaces. And the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely be visiting again. There is ample parking around the park, although we found it to be a bit expensive (£5.20 for 2 hours)
Just before Glasgow university. Worth visiting
A very beautiful place with lots of variety
Brilliant experiences at the bandstand
There are places in Glasgow that seem to hide away in the Muggle world, and Kelvingrove Park is undoubtedly one of them. It's a pretty and pleasant park for a stroll, though not particularly large, so you can explore it quite quickly. A small stream runs through it, meandering among the paths as if someone had let a tiny tributary of Hogwarts' lake escape. It also has a small amphitheater where concerts and other events are held. During our visit, there was one going on, and the music could be heard throughout much of the park, giving it a particularly lively atmosphere. But perhaps the most interesting thing about Kelvingrove isn't its paths or gardens, but its inhabitants. Birds, crows, and other creatures that seem to have stepped straight out of a Harry Potter book appear everywhere. There are also quite a few squirrels, moving among the trees with the diligence of little house-elves with urgent matters to attend to. However, not all the creatures we encountered were so endearing. On several occasions, we came across some rather large rats, and that's when the magic began to fade slightly. You start to wonder if, behind the trees and hedges, there isn't a second, perfectly organized rodent society, patiently waiting for visitors to leave the park. Joking aside, the number and size of the rats made us question the extent to which the park's cleanliness and hygiene are being properly maintained. All in all, the visit was pleasant. It's not a park that requires hours and hours of exploration, but it's a good place for a stroll, to encounter some unexpected creature, and, with a bit of luck, to hear music as you walk. In short, a small green corner with a certain magical charm in the heart of Glasgow. Recommended for a visit, although I would advise keeping your eyes peeled: you never know what creature might appear from behind the next bush.
We watched the commonwealth games here on the big screen. Glasgow did them well with footage interviews and a piper. Also interviews with athletes. Well laid out with attractions for families.
Smashing gig venue
Watching my family enjoy playing dodge ball....excellent 😁
Went to the bandstand for a concert. The park was lovely
The pavements are really badly potholed. Other than that, its a nice Glasgow park.
