A31 Hog's Back Rest Area

The rest area on the A31 Hog's Back, westbound out of Guildford near Seale, has long been listed in UK cruising directories. Activity is reported in the woodland beside the lay-by in the evenings and late at night, mostly from gay, bi and married men. Treat current activity as unverified. Know the law. Cruising itself is not an offence in England, and outdoor sex only becomes one if others are likely to see it. Sexual activity in a public toilet, however, is a specific criminal offence (Sexual Offences Act 2003, s.71), so stay away from any toilet block. Lock valuables out of sight and leave if anything feels off.
