The Proud Trust is an LGBTQ+ youth charity based at the LGBT Centre on Sidney Street, off Oxford Road in Manchester. It runs youth groups, mentoring and support for young lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people, and produces training and resources used by schools and youth workers across the UK. The centre itself is one of the few purpose-built LGBT centres in Britain and hosts other community groups. It is not a venue for visitors to drop into casually. We hired the space downstairs, "lounge", and the staff were very accommodating and made the whole process very easy. The building is also very access friendly as well as being kind enough to also let us use the roof for our community dinner.
