Gay Saunas in Canberra

Canberra has no gay sauna, and we couldn't find one in Queanbeyan either. The nearest are in Sydney, about three hours away. Day spas, float centres and the floating sauna on Lake Burley Griffin are mainstream wellness businesses, not gay venues.

The men's venue that does exist

Fantasy Lane, an adult store at 19 Molonglo Mall in Fyshwick, has a men's cruise lounge out the back called The Ranch. Its website, still on the old Mustang Ranch domain, calls it "Canberra's only male cruise lounge", and Travel Gay lists a cinema room, playrooms, lockers and showers. It's dry, not a wet sauna. Open daily 10am to 11pm; entry prices aren't published, so call (02) 6280 6969. Fyshwick is about 8 km south-east of Civic.
