Hangar is a gay bar and club on Calle Santa Filomena in Barrio Bellavista. That side of the barrio is technically in Recoleta, not Providencia. Bellavista is Santiago's main nightlife area and holds most of the city's gay bars and clubs. We don't have confirmed opening hours or party nights. Reviews are mixed (3.7 from about 220). Nights in Santiago start late, and clubs fill after 1am. Bellavista gets very busy on weekends, so watch your phone and take a registered taxi or ride-hail home.

I don't usually like going out in the Bellavista neighborhood, but when I was invited to Hangar, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was really chill, but full of people who wanted to have a good time in a very uninhibited way. Maybe it's because it's gay-friendly, but it's my safe place (I mean, there's no problem; some people might have a few too many drinks, but they're funny). So, I highly recommend it for finding both new and old urban spots.
