THEATRON

Theatron is Colombia's best-known gay club, a huge complex on Calle 58 in Chapinero, Bogotá's gay district. It occupies a converted theatre that has been extended into more than a dozen rooms and dance floors, each with its own music, including reggaeton, pop, electronic and Latin. Thousands of people pass through on a big night, and the crowd is young and mixed across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. It opens on weekend nights. Arrive before midnight to avoid the longest queue and bring ID. Keep your phone and cash in a front pocket, and use a registered taxi or ride-hail app to get home rather than hailing cabs on the street. Check its website for opening nights and cover prices.
