この場所について Jim Deva Plaza
Jim Deva Plaza is the public square at Davie and Bute streets, beside the permanent rainbow crosswalks at the centre of Vancouver's Davie Village. It is named after Jim Deva, co-founder of Little Sister's Book & Art Emporium. Deva led the bookstore's long fight against Canada Customs seizures of LGBTQ books, which reached the Supreme Court of Canada in Little Sister's v. Canada. He died in 2014, and the plaza opened in 2016.
Its centrepiece is a large pink megaphone sculpture, a 'speaker's corner' that points to that free-expression fight. The plaza hosts community events and fills up during Pride. Little Sister's itself is a short walk along Davie Street.
