This is a good recreational park but is of little interest to the gardener. The Leaf was closed and the gardens around it were of little interest. They were very "architectural" in design and the signposting was poor. The washrooms were good. The English Garden was well up to the standard of a typical Canadian municipal park. The cafe was unattractive and we cancelled our plans to have lunch there. If you're just looking for a walk in the park, this would be a good choice but don't expect anything more.
I took my young nephew and niece (ages 9 and 7) to the nature playground and they had a great time, playing for over an hour. Although they enjoyed the climbing, swings and slides, the favourite area by far was the water pump and canals. They used the sand to build dams, like little engineers! Soon a whole group of kids were working together on the project! It was great to watch!
I went to this park to get some exercise after a work day. It is a sprawling park with lots of space and you can take a pathway to a bridge that crosses the Assiniboine River. Park is well-maintained.
Assiniboine Park was like New York City’s Central Park. I enjoyed the various gardens, the paths for the people to hike by the Assiniboine River, and the displays of Winnie-the-Pooh and of the various artists. There were bathrooms and restaurants at this park, too. I spent just over an hour at this park. I felt safe and there was an abundance of free parking.
The park is clean not a lot of transient riffraff traffic, and a good place to visit the polar bear exhibit was exceptionally great
Absolutely lovely park, full of trails and gardens. We went to the art gallery and Winnie the pooh museum in the pavilion and really enjoyed it all.
I went walking here at night once, and a skinless body suddenly materialized in front of me, screamed in agony, and then promptly vanished. It's voice sounded like mine.
Great park, saw a mixture of wildlife including deer, rabbits, squirrels, and even a fox! It was a snowy day so everything was white, but still beautiful.
We made a special trip to the park to ride the small scale steam train. Despite the fact the website and sign posted at the train station indicated that the train rain until the end of October at certain times, it wasn't operating. When we called the number listed on the sign, it said that the water had been turned off and the steam engine could no long run for the remainder of the season. It was disappointing.
The Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg is beautiful! The English Gardens were gorgeous and beautifully manicured, and the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden was equally stunning and peaceful. A must see when visiting Winnipeg!
We went to The Leaf... beautiful gardens! Recommend using Google Lens to identify.
Assiniboine Park is one of my absolute favorite spots for photos! The Pavilion is such an iconic backdrop, and the grounds are always beautifully maintained, no matter the season. Whether it’s golden hour by the gardens or a dreamy winter scene, there’s no shortage of stunning locations. It’s the perfect blend of nature and architecture, making it a go-to for portraits, engagements, and weddings. Always a must-visit!
Beautiful day wandering around the LEAF during the current event...Orchid display/celebration.

Absolutely gorgeous park space in the city. I've been visiting for over 50 years and bring my own young kids here now. Well kept space, spectacular views from all vantage points, great trails, an excellent marsh pond, and a large shelter with restroom facilities. Great to visit in summer or winter.
nice park
