この場所について Boston Dyke March

The Boston Dyke March is an annual grassroots march, not a venue. It centres lesbians, dykes, bi and trans women, butches, femmes, trans men and other queer people, and it's open to anyone who wants to join. It's usually held in June, the evening before the main Pride weekend events, and it's more protest than parade. No floats, no sponsors, no tickets. People meet at a start point and march, often with homemade signs. The date, route and meeting point change each year, so check the website or its social channels before you go.

More interesting to visit than I thought. Nice view of the eastern side of Boston Common. It is a popular place for people to hangout but they also like to leave their litter behind. I learned that it was built in 1912 on the filled in area of Cow 🐄 or Horse 🐎 Pond. Cow 🐮, Horse 🐴 but not Amy Pond! The cost was $1 million but I do not know if it was 1912 $ or today's $. It would have cost $33,399,587.63 today! Then again, government spending 💰 these days... Design of the bandstand, 🎵 Because I am on, because I'm on the American Bandstand! 🎵 Err, sorry 😐! Got carried away!, was Derby, Robinson and Shephard. It is 📛 named after George F. Parkman because of a $5 million donation, from the estate of his father George Parkman, after his death ☠️ on September 16th, 1908 for parks including Boston Common. Learning about this bandstand led me to read about George Parkman, February 19th, 1790 to November 23rd, 1849. What a fascinating life 🧬 and, well, death ☠️. The bandstand was renovated in 1996. Barack Obama gave a speech 💬 here in 2007. If you are into history, architecture or just want a place to hang out, check ✔️ it out.

A historic and elegant structure in the heart of Boston Common. This bandstand was built in 1912 and is still used for concerts, community events, patriotic celebrations, and even weddings. While there aren't always events, when there are, the atmosphere is lively and family-friendly. It's a lovely spot to take photos, relax for a while, or simply appreciate the classic architecture. It's surrounded by green spaces and walking paths, so you can easily combine your visit with a stroll through the park. Local tip: In the summer, they often host musical performances or official events. If you see a crowd gathered, go check it out—there might be something interesting happening! Accessibility: The general area is easily accessible, but the bandstand itself is not accessible for people with reduced mobility, as it has several steps and no visible ramps.

This is just beautiful and historic! The Parkman Bandstand is a beautiful monument found in the Boston Common. It is named after George F. Parkman. He said in his will to donate 5 million dollars of his money to the city of Boston so they could keep the common well maintained. He was the son of Doctor George Parkman who donated land for Harvard's first medical campus.

Named for George F. Parkman, the bandstand was constructed following his death in 1908, in honor of a $5 million donation he had willed for the care of the Boston Common and other city parks. Parkman was the son of George Parkman, a doctor who had donated land for Harvard Medical School's first campus. The site quickly became noted for the autumnal colonial-themed puppet shows that occurred there starting in 1922. In 1996, the bandstand was restored and is used today for concerts, rallies, and speeches. Recent notable gatherings include the Boston Freedom Rally and a 2007 Presidential Primary rally in which both Barack Obama and Deval Patrick gave speeches from the bandstand.
