Rocky Mountain Equality is the LGBTQ+ nonprofit formerly known as Out Boulder County, founded in 1994 and based at 3340 Mitchell Lane in north Boulder. It took the new name when it widened its work beyond Boulder County into northern Colorado. It runs youth groups, trans and QTPOC support, peer groups, wellness services and the Speaking Out program that sends volunteers into local schools. It also organises Boulder PrideFest in June. For visitors and new arrivals, it is the most direct way to find out what is happening in Boulder's queer community. Check the website or call before dropping in, as programs run on set schedules.
