Ginger's is a lesbian and queer bar on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and one of the few lesbian bars left in New York City. It has been open since the early 2000s and works as a neighbourhood bar: cheap-ish drinks, a regular crowd of women and queer people of all genders, and a mixed crowd that includes straight neighbours. It is busiest on weekend evenings and on summer nights, when the outdoor space at the back fills up. Weeknights are quieter and good for conversation. Events and hours are posted on its Instagram. The F and G trains at 4th Av-9th St and the R at Union Street are a few blocks away.

Didn't know there was event @ $30. Woman at door seemed hassled and I got the feeling everyone was about half my age. Nice people hanging outside so talked a bit then left. Too bad as trekked all the way from NYC UWS.
