Sonesta ES Suites Fresno

Worst experience ever as a first time customer. We first experienced that there was a $250 deposit. We missed it on the website after paying. During that time trying to decide if we were going to pay to take the room, we decided and payed the deposit, but then it DECLINED on their side yet my money was still taken.. (the front desk clerk ran a card under the wrong name) No room was even used!! No Manager available, nobody knew what they were talking about. Nobody had access to shit to help us cancel or make arrangements.. had no answers!, but to tell us to call Monday at 11am and surprise surprise there is no available front desk manager or general manager.. excited about the reviews I could not wait to check in and take a shower after a long day yet my child free weekend was ruined. No help of any kind and nowhere to stay for the night.

Love this place. Everyone that works here deserves a raise. Breakfast is amazing, got to take it my room.

Magnificent hotel

Comfort and Friendly and Tucked away.

In a great location

Hands down the best hotel "free" breakfast we've ever had! Someone outdid themselves in creating a theme, such as "Farm to Table" (being potatoes, eggs, meat, and a bar of appropriate toppings to choose from). A different day was "Build your own Breakfast Taco". Um, yes please!!! It tasted delicious and felt balanced & healthy! There was also a variety of other options to choose from and even the oatmeal had it's own "bar" of multiple mix-ins. The ladies serving- Carrie and Diana- were on top of making sure there was plenty, that guests had what they needed, and were super sweet. I think it was (Carrie) who said the "extras" were all (Diana)- or vise versa- I may have mixed them up. Secondly, what stood out to us was service. We noticed the shower door had come off its track (still was able to slide from the top- but appeared that if not fixed at some point down the line- could be a danger). When I commented to the front desk, the man thanked me for saying something, and asked if his guy could come look at it right away. Sure enough- "Tavier" (sp?) came in less than 10 min. Not only did he fix the problem- he noticed that it was not moving as smoothly as it should- and made a note to come work on that once we left. Then- when i made some comment about going to ask the maid to replace certain towels- Tavier said he would do it- and he was very quick to return with exactly what I asked for, plus extra. (Anytime we asked anyone for anything- we were always given a little extra!) 3 Suggestions: 1) Please add more ambiant/warm lighting in the rooms. At night or early AM, the cool bright bubs are unpleasant. Our room only had one warm light coming from the small desk lamp- that was nice- but I wished for more. I also thought the light switches looked like they should light up as soft nightlights (i' now you're free, we're both free. Let's back off and talk about your career.ve seen that in other places)- but they did not. 2) Consider a way for phones to have a direct line to dial front desk. If they did- I missed it. We did not need it- but I found it strange. 3) For breakfast- add a note that the chorizo is spicy- made my nose run a tiny bit. I loved the taste, but not everyone would.

The room was nice and had towels. Only problem is that the room only had 1 large spoon and 2 butter knives. And only 2 small bowls and a butter plate. There were no dinner plates or forks in the room. Also the pots and pans had no lids. Hopefully I can get a credit on my room.

Great hotel especially for the Price but what made my stay over the top amazing was the customer service and hotel staff ! I would like to mention in particular Anthony . My family and I stay in hotels for sports twice a month , and Anthony is by FAR the most accommodating and welcoming Hotel staff I have ever encountered ! All the staff, even the maintenance man was such a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Anthony and Team for making our experience amazing !
