Far Bar

Far Bar is a bar and restaurant on 1st Street in Little Tokyo, downtown Los Angeles, reached through a narrow passage to a patio at the back. The menu is Asian-American bar food, and the drinks lean on Japanese whisky and craft beer. It is a mainstream bar listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Prices are moderate, and Google reviewers give it 4.4 from about 1,400 reviews. It is close to the Little Tokyo/Arts District Metro station, so it works before or after an event downtown. For gay bars, West Hollywood and Silver Lake are the main options.
