Bar Corallini

The antipasto platter was delicious. The pasta that I choose was a delightful combination called pacherri and was a beautiful sauce. No pictures of the Tiramisu but ot was very delicious!

Very surprising place. Looks like a great bar with a very limited menu. Don't let that fool you. What they do, they do very well. Reasonable portions on the pasta dish with very reasonable pricing. Reservations not required but it might be a better idea if your not looking to wait.

Love the decor! Yummy!

I had the rigatoni bolognese and it was excellent. Fun place, great wait staff and cool atmosphere.

Yum! And live the decor!

Great local place for good Italian food!

For the last several years I only had positive experiences at Bar Corallini, until last night. I used to love the vegan Cacio E Pepe, historically a luscious dish with three types of mushrooms. Last night I ordered this same dish, only to learn that they've completely removed mushrooms from the dish -- gutting a key part of the original dish and of course maintaining the original price. It was disappointing. I ended up ordering a side of roasted mushrooms to add in. Then I realized that they hadn't offered us any sparkling water like they had during all of our previous visits. I was happy to order it, but it was an odd shift. Finally, when I went to the bathroom, one of the sink handles was completely broken off and unrepaired. It all seemed like a comedy of errors at that point. Fortunately the sink was still generally functional. The whole experience was a mournful reminder of the overall predicament consumers find ourselves in these days: clear reductions in product quality yet consistent or increasing prices. It was a negative experience in that way. Plus, we were there to celebrate my partner's birthday, but with the compounding disappointments it didn't feel as celebratory as one might hope. The service was still exceptional from everyone there. Our server Ocean was efficient, generous, and tactful. The drinks were also incredible. I ordered the Mamma Amata cocktail because it included elderflower, chartreuse, and dandelion, and WOW!! Brilliant. It even had beautiful calendula flowers on top. I definitely feel compassion for money being tight and for a business to do anything it can to stay afloat. I'm just sad to have had my first negative experience at a place that I used to love, especially in the context of a birthday celebration. I likewise used to choose to go to Bar Corallini for my birthday dinner every year, and I will not be doing that going forward. Thank you for reading!

I wasn’t sure I would write a review as we want to keep this restaurant for ourselves…LOL. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Don’t let the outside fool you, it is beautiful inside and staff is so helpful and attentive. The mixologists make wonderful drinks and friendly. The food has been spot on every visit and will remain one of our favorite restaurants. The antipasi menu is delicious(try the eggplant fritters), pizza and entrees all are remarkable. Ciao, Denny

I was working nearby and found this place using an app that counts calories from a photo. The salad with thin prosciutto slices fit my protein needs well and tasted great. The service was prompt despite me not having a reservation.

Phenomenal,,, Absolutely loved our evening here! The cheese board with eggplant, zucchini, meats, and cheeses was excellent, and the wine selection was very good. The seafood linguini was delicious, and the tiramisu was so different and memorable! Honestly, this was some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. We didn’t expect to find such a gem on the east side of Madison, but it turned out to be such a wonderful surprise. Great food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere made for a perfect evening. Definitely recommend—and we’ll absolutely be coming back!

Fantastic service and some of the best pasta and cocktails ever had !
