Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street was the most famous disco of the late 1970s, a place where gay men, celebrities and drag performers shared the dance floor. The club itself is long gone. The building is now a Broadway theatre operated by the non-profit Roundabout Theatre Company and stages plays and musicals.
Today it's a mainstream, gay-friendly theatre, not a nightclub. Buy tickets through Roundabout or the usual Broadway outlets. It holds 4.6 out of 5 from about 1,850 Google reviews. Hell's Kitchen's gay bars on Ninth Avenue are a few blocks southwest, which makes them handy for a drink after the show.

Firsr went to this theater when I saw Cabaret back in the day 7x when Alan Cumming was in it (yes, I'm old) and just saw Rocky Horror last night. One of my favorite theaters
