Grotta Bar is the bar attached to Local 186, a restaurant at 186 Commercial Street in the centre of Provincetown. It is a mainstream bar listed as gay-friendly rather than a gay bar, though in a town this gay the crowd is often mostly LGBTQ+, especially in summer.
It makes a relaxed stop for a drink before or after dinner, a short walk from the Boatslip tea dance, the Crown & Anchor and the A-House. Like much of Provincetown it is busiest from late June to early September and keeps reduced hours or closes in winter, so check the website off-season.
