10/10. This place is so amazing. The employees and owner are very friendly and respectful. Was a pleasure to get to meet the owner “Mr Larry” Received excellent customer service from Larry & Brett. Perfect little cozy spot to have a relaxing evening. And they are pet friendly. Will surely be revisiting very soon .

We’ve now been here a couple of times. This is a neighborhood bar—period. The people are friendly, the drinks are good and the prices are reasonable. We’ll return whenever we’re back in the neighborhood.

A hidden gem off of the beaten path! This is a friendly local gay bar. This is not the bar to visit if you're looking for ambience and decor, but the bar to visit if you want a good drink and a good time. It is a small, hole in the wall bar but the music they were playing that night kept me entertained.

My fiancé and I happened upon Larry’s as we were walking home to our AirBnB after an enjoyable dinner with family on a Sunday night. We saw that it was lively with great outdoor seating. So, we bopped over, bought a beer and rum punch. What terrific prices. We then enjoyed crashing a table and making new friends, including a young man celebrating his birthday. The bartender was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Thank you!

Bartenders and other patrons were all very friendly and treated strangers as if they were long time friends.

A wonderful low-key LGBT oasis in stress filled DC. Note: They do welcome all well behaved humans and dogs. The corner patio area is great for people and dog watching. It's too bad food is not served. But I understand you can bring your own.

Came in here for drinks after dinner at Lauriol Plaza and had a really good time. It was packed, but the staff kept a friendly eye on us. Crowd was also great and in good spirits.

Larry’s place is located on 18 street in NW DC just a block south of Adams Morgan. As I understand, it is a few of bars in DC that just for drinking, no food other than popcorn. Nice friendly place with mainly gay clientele but I saw all mixed there. Whiskey and beers seem to be the main core drinks. For wine drinkers, there are enough choices. A fun place to be but expect it to be crowded during rush hour (happy hours).

Everyone was on their devices (including the bartenders) and for god sake don't say hello to anyone or try to strike up a conversation with the bartender. The straight guys next door at Rebellion were a lot friendlier.

Yes to the rum punch. Perfect ending to a stuffy federal government conference. Felt welcome to a neighborhood pub. Empty glass, happy place.

Located in a vibrant community. My wife and I genuinely enjoyed the vibes and conversations. Larrys seem like a local hangout but we felt very welcome and made friends while there. Very cool place!

Great establishment, and I can't deny that I've had good experiences there overall. However, I want to address an incident involving one of the bartenders that I felt was discriminatory and unprofessional. On one occasion, this bartender attempted to pressure me into giving him a tip. On another visit, the same bartender refused to serve me a drink and stated that it was because I had not tipped him previously. He also spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. I believe all customers should be treated fairly and respectfully regardless of whether they choose to tip. While I appreciate the establishment itself, this experience left me disappointed and concerned about the level of customer service being provided.

A small, charming bar with an outdoor terrace. The guests all seem to know and like each other. It's lovely to see how friendly and welcoming everyone is.

I’ve been coming to this bar for years. Sad to see the service has gone so down hill. After such terrible and rude service, I can’t imagine coming back again.

Went here several days in a row, awesome community bar. Great vibes and good drinks. Found out it was a "gay bar" the last day I was there, sure, but its also an awesome bar in general. Not a fair label.

This place was cool, the bartender was super helpful and friendly. However, I agree with other reviewers that this is a local-only bar (despite being in a major tourist center) The people here were, frankly, some of the rudest I’ve ever come across during my roadtrip. This is not a fault of the business, nothing against them, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re new in town.
