RIG Colonial Experience

A wonderful experience at the Rig Colonial. Everyone we met during the week was lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast is truly excellent, served on a rooftop terrace. The pool is also very pleasant for simply relaxing. We even enjoyed a sunset champagne toast with friends—a fantastic memory! (Bring your own towels for the pool.) If I return to San Diego, I would definitely stay at the same hotel again. A word of advice, though: be careful with recommended taxis. We were quoted $40, but ended up paying $57, whereas an Uber for the same trip cost around $20.

The hotel is very clean, the breakfast buffet is very complete, and the reception and service staff are very good; they are friendly and helpful. There are no elevators.

The room reeked of cigarettes and was infested with insects. The Wi-Fi signal didn't reach the room either. The staff had poor English skills and sent us to the wrong bus stop for our onward journey, forcing us to take two taxis because we were going the wrong way. We had specifically asked the hotel reception twice beforehand where we needed to go. The rooftop pool was nice, but small. It's only suitable for relaxing, not for swimming.

Excellent location close to the main attractions. The room was spotless and well-appointed. The service was outstanding; Mikel was always attentive throughout our stay, very helpful and professional at all times.

It's a boutique hotel with very tiny pool on the roof. The room nice & clean. The big minus for this hotel it's the internet connection it's very low Wi-Fi. Usually tourist needs wi-fi and when you're going for vacation and you don't have normal basic Wi-Fi it can spoil all your vacation.

Excellent location, good service, incredible tranquility, quite central; you can walk the entire colonial city and return to the hotel on foot without any danger.

Be careful with this hotel. I paid for a reservation and I paid a security and when I tried to cancel and asked for a refund they kept the money. I never stayed at the hotel, they said that's its a hotel's policy to keep the money. They don't answer the phone or the messages.

Friendly, attentive, clean, close to shops and the boardwalk, I felt very comfortable in this place. The breakfast is very complete and delicious. I would stay here again.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my experience at your hotel. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was discourteous and unprofessional, displaying an annoyed attitude toward our inquiries. Upon entering our room, we found no electricity or internet access. The explanation we received was that previous guests had damaged the electrical outlets and had not been notified in time; however, it is unacceptable that we should have to bear the consequences of a prior lack of maintenance. Although the receptionist promised to contact technical support, we never heard from them and spent the entire night without internet. Finally, while the bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, which made personal hygiene very difficult.

The service from arrival to departure was 10/10, all the staff were very friendly, Maikel the receptionist was 10/10, the breakfast was 10/10, a very peaceful place and the view was 😍.

The young man who served me was very professional (Maikel), an excellent young man. The hotel itself is very cool, and that pool is everything; I loved it.
