Dolphins Beach-House Noosa

Great value for money! Stayed here for over a week and loved it! Made great friends during my stay, and all the common areas are so nice to hangout in. Kitchens and bathrooms get cleaned everyday and the hostel is generally very clean. Staff is kind and accommodating to questions and inquiries. I extended my stay while I was there and they immediately made it happen. The beach is really close!

We loved Dolphins! Such a nice, calm and homey-vibe with great people and staff. It was clean and tidy all the time in the dorms, kitchen and common areas. The hostel is in a great area, just a minute walk to cafes, restaurants as well as the bus station. We liked our stay so much that we extended. We would definitely come back to this place and we recommend staying at Dolphins to anyone coming to Noosa😍

When we arrived at the hostel, there was no running water. However, as we were on vacation and tried to remain understanding, we did not make an issue of it and used another bathroom in the area. Unfortunately, that good attitude was only on our side. I strongly believe you should review who you have working in hospitality roles, as politeness, respect, and good customer service are essential in this industry. During check-out, an older female staff member — whose name I do not know, and who may have been part of reception or housekeeping — treated us in a very aggressive and disrespectful manner. She entered our room with a hostile attitude to force us out, even though we were already ready to check out and only needed to take our suitcases downstairs. This behavior did not happen just once; the harassment continued until we finally left the hostel. I was genuinely shocked by the level of aggression, including her body language. This situation completely overshadowed all the positive aspects the hostel may have had. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that you review the performance of your customer service staff, so future guests do not have to go through a similar experience.

chill spot by the beach, not social though. buses run infrequently which is inconvenient, but not the hostel’s fault. what is the hostel’s fault is the extremely rude woman they have working the front desk. check out is at 9:30 (very weird/early time), 5 min after a woman came in and told us to hurry up because the longer we took the later she had to work. weird, however she was not the main problem. she must have went and got her manager because about 10 min later myself and another guest were already MOVED OUT OF THE ROOM and had our stuff in the common room. The “manager” or whoever it was came in and yelled at us saying we had to get out now. i was in the middle of making breakfast and the other guest was organizing her stuff. it is basic hostel etiquette to be able to use the common area and facilities after check out as long as you are out of the room. This was all before 10am. The manager’s demeanor was extremely harsh and unnecessarily rude. She continued to belittle the other guests while I told her she was free to go clean the room while I finished making breakfast. Rushing guests to vacate the premises within just 30 minutes of checkout is extremely unprofessional, and the woman did it in a very hostile and disrespectful manner. If it is the hostel’s policy to not use or be in common areas after check out that’s fine, but there’s no reason to be so rude about it she could’ve told us politely. extremely unprofessional. i never feel the need to write bad reviews but this experience was so jarring i felt i had to.

Room was not clean. When we checked in there was a used contact lense on the bedside table and a squashed bug on the other table. We asked reception for the room to be clean and they did go in and remove the things we pointed out. When we went back to room we then also found nail clippings on the floor, also not ours. We didn’t bother asked for a clean again as it was clear they never do any proper clean after the guests leave. Room also had a bit of a weird smell. Guy that we assume was owner seemed nice but we wouldn’t recommended the room especially since we had paid for a private room to avoid other people’s messes.

Absolute best hostel in Australia. I’d give it ten stars if I could. The people here are just lovely. It’s quiet at night but still super friendly, which is the perfect balance. The staff are amazing, the rooms are clean, and there are only a few beds per room not like those big crowded hostels. The location is beautiful and only a short walk to the beach. The owners are always around and genuinely care. I even lost my key and checked out late, and they were completely understanding and didn’t charge me anything extra. Plus you can borrow surfboards for FREE. Couldn’t recommend Dolphins Hostel more. If you’re in the Sunshine Coast, stay here no question.

Nice hostel. Lovely bathroom that was well cleaned and the room was nice. Bonus that it had a private mini balcony seating area . It is not super central but there is a beach close and communal areas nice.

Best place in Noosa!!

This is my second time staying at Dolphins. I love the cozy atmosphere, the people, and the location so close to the beach. The hostel is quiet, yet there is always something going on and it's easy to meet people. The outdoor area is great, especially the hammocks. The rooms are very small but each apartment has a large common area, its own kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommended!
