A magical bookshop in the middle of Sydney with a variety of books, strong colourful gift paper and friendly helpful stuff. Thank you for bringing not only important education but a sexy intellect of books. Be blessed 🌺✨

An amazing store that has been going since the 80's! The owner, Charles, has put so much love and care into the building. He also supports local queer artists and designers with the gorgeous branding and signage. All the staff are lovely and they have a great selection of books! Highly recommended.

I had such a great experience ordering online from The Bookshop Darlinghurst :) firstly, their collection of books is exquisite, secondly, I needed an urgent birthday present asap for a friend and the lovely Kae called to ask about gift wrapping and sent it express. I purchased a book online and the team - especially Noel - has gone above and beyond! They took time to reach out to me to ask if I wanted my book signed by the author who was stopping by the store, and offered to send the book wrapped after hearing it was a gift (with no request from me). Noel's thoughtful service has made my day! I hope I can stop by the physical store sometime 😊

Used their mail order service , item was packaged well , sent promptly ( which a bookworm loves ) and good friendly communications , thank you 😸

Cannot recommend this bookshop enough. Visited for the first time today and was immediately greeted by both the amazing staff AND an incredible selection of books. If I didn't have to catch a train back home, I'd have spent hours in there. It's a miracle I walked out with only 9 books; I was ready to blow the bank out of the water and walk out with a haul twice as big. As someone who hasn't had the joy of experiencing a lot of queer spaces in my life, The Bookshop Darlinghurst was a breath of fresh air.

stumbled into this bookshop during my time here in sydney. i was having a very rough day. i was immediately greeted by noel, a beautifully radiant, kind and exuberant soul. his energy and kind words made my day so much better <3 i could've spent hours in this bookshop. so many queer and historical picks. such a wonderfully curated and vast collection. if i stayed too long i would've spent all my money! i will definitely be back again next time i'm in sydney!
