Super Hotel Yokohama Kannai

I used this hotel during my trip to Yokohama. It was close to the station and had excellent access to Chinatown, parks, and the bar district. When I checked in late at night, the staff kindly explained the breakfast and bedding, which I really appreciated. The room required a PIN code for entry, and while there were no bottled water bottles in the room, there was a note stating that the tap water was drinkable. Those who are hesitant should prepare their own water beforehand. ✨ For amenities, there was a limit on the number of items per night, but guests could freely choose travel-sized packs of bath salts, face masks, and facial cleanser to take back to their rooms. The face masks were a real treat! 🙏 (laughs) Also, as someone who loves iced coffee, I was personally happy that I could make coffee using the coffee maker from around 5 PM until late at night. Furthermore, I could check the congestion status of the breakfast area and coin laundry from the TV in my room, there was a FamilyMart on the first floor of the hotel, and for some reason, a cute robot dog was at the front desk taking walks in the evenings (?), making for a very pleasant stay overall. This time, I stayed in a room with bunk beds and used them, but I was a little disappointed that the medicine bags and other items from the previous guests were still there. Also, the breakfast area gets crowded, which is a shame, but there's a Chinatown nearby with restaurants that open early in the morning, so eating out instead of at the hotel is also an option. I would like to use this hotel again on my next trip.

The guest rooms were clean. The breakfast area felt a little cramped; you had to be careful when taking your tray and passing other guests. The quality was good, though. It's a bit far from the station, so it might be inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage.

I checked in and went to my room. The previous guest's used contact lenses were left by the bed, dried out and crusty. It was unpleasant. I wonder why they didn't notice them during cleaning?

I recently stayed at a Super Hotel after a long time. This was my first time at this particular location. Super Hotels generally have excellent customer service and are very clean, so I rarely have an unpleasant experience. However, this time, the shower curtain was disappointing. The moment I entered the bathroom, I smelled a damp odor, and when I smelled the shower curtain, it was indeed the shower curtain. This was the first time I'd experienced something like this at a Super Hotel, so I was surprised. I used the hotel for a concert, and its proximity to Chinatown was fantastic, allowing me to fully enjoy the area. There are also restaurants nearby that are open late, so finding food isn't a problem even if you return late. I stayed for two nights, and the breakfast menu was different each day, which was great. The mapo eggplant with its strong Sichuan pepper flavor was delicious. The grilled yellowtail was also tasty. The robot dog greeting you is cute and a nice touch. Honestly, the room and bathroom are small. It might be a bit cramped for a large man. However, if you can overlook that, I recommend Super Hotel. The only downside this time was the shower curtain, but I'll definitely consider this hotel as my first choice when I stay in Yokohama again. Update: I've used the hotel several times since then, and the shower curtain no longer smells. Also, they now accept QR code payments, making it even more convenient.

I used this facility because I had work in Yokohama. The front desk is on the second floor, and you take the elevator up. There are two top-loading and two front-loading coin-operated washing machines, and the fee is 200 yen. I will use it again when I have work in Yokohama.

First, the location is inconvenient, and you have to carry your luggage quite a distance. Furthermore, the service is poor; they only accept luggage storage after breakfast, which is around 9:30 AM! Also, they're stingy with the free drinks; alcohol is only available until 9 PM, and even though there were still 5 or 10 minutes left, they were out of whiskey. When I asked for some, they said they wouldn't refill it because it was almost closing time! I had the right to use it until 9 PM! In particular, many Super Hotels don't replenish their food even at breakfast; some items are gone even by 8 AM, which is very inconvenient. This hotel is stingy with its services in many ways.

The front desk staff were wonderful. Also, there was a complimentary drink service in the evening, and we enjoyed alcoholic beverages as well.

I chose Super Hotel Yokohama Kannai mainly for the convenience, and it worked well for a short stay. It’s close to the train stations and made getting around Yokohama easy, which was a big plus. The room was compact, but for sleeping and keeping bags it was exactly what I needed. I’d stay here again for a simple, practical visit.

Although I hadn't informed them in advance that I would be using a wheelchair, as soon as they saw me in my wheelchair at the reception, they immediately prepared a barrier-free room for me. I asked the front desk for recommendations for a place to have dinner. I had a Chinese restaurant reservation for the next day, so I asked them to find a good restaurant other than Chinese food, preferably a yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant, and they helped me find one. Because the DeNA vs. Hanshin game was cancelled and it was Saturday night, everywhere was crowded, so I was very grateful for their kind assistance in checking the crowding situation at restaurants. The yakiniku restaurant they recommended was absolutely delicious, and I was very satisfied. I decided to post this review because the staff's service was excellent.
