Island Palms Hotel & Restaurant

Looking at the hotel from the outside you may have your doubts. But the rooms have obviously been renovated of late and are quite comfortable and spacious. Microwave and coffee kettle along with a refrigerator and a balcony, and a check out time of noon. This is the place where military and workers stay.

An average hotel, a little run down. Fellow travelers complained about leaking air-conditioners, no warm water for shower, bugs and stale smell in rooms. Not a comfortable stay

I booked this hotel for 7 nights but ended up staying only one. While the room was spacious and the staff were very kind and welcoming, unfortunately the overall condition of the room was not acceptable. It was extremely humid inside, to the point where everything felt damp. The sheets didn’t seem freshly washed, and the room just didn’t feel clean or comfortable. I really wanted to like this place, especially because the people working there were lovely—but I just couldn’t stay longer in those conditions. I moved to another hotel the next day.

I stayed here for about two weeks for work. They serve breakfast and laundry service. You can even have tuna sashimi in the morning. The cleaning and front desk staff are friendly and nice. They also provide airport pick-up and drop-off if you let them know in advance. The building is a bit old, so there is some wear and tear. There are restaurants in other hotels and supermarkets within walking distance.

Hotel is nice and clean everyday..rooms are big and have a balcony to relax on...The restaurant is the best on the island..and big portions.. The owners are some of the best people you will ever meet... employees are excellent .. Thank you Island Palms..

The shower doesn't have hot water. There's no one at the front desk. The restaurant food isn't good. Some rooms have non-functioning air conditioning. The light bulb in the shower room is burnt out. The doorknob is broken. Even when I told the staff, they didn't try to fix it.

The first Luxury hotel in POHNPEI.🇫🇲

Stayed at this hotel for 2 night. It was okay, the rooms were spacious and the ac works fine. The only problem I had was the wifi connection was pretty bad but I understand that it's not the hotels fault. The service lady that picked me up from the airport was professional and beautiful too. All in all it was a good hotel for my travel purposes.

I can only rate their restaurant, since we came here for breakfast. But oh wow, we liked the breakfast so much that we came 5 or 6 days in a row. I loved their two eggs with hash brown and bacon breakfast. It was fried in butter and so rich and tasty. The service was also always good and friendly. If you are looking for a good breakfast centrally located in Pohnpei, this is what you should look for.
