Avoid if you want to enjoy Boracay's nightlife! Rating: 1/5 If you are planning to experience Boracay’s famous nightlife, do not stay here. Its too far from the beach and the staff doesn't have an initiative. They lock the main doors at night, meaning you are completely locked out if you stay up late, or trapped inside if you want to head out. To make matters worse, the staff has zero initiative. They didn't bother to tell me there was a separate side door I could use until I finally got so fed up that I decided to check out early. It honestly feels like a scam just to pocket your money while ruining your vacation. Terrible communication and completely unhelpful staff. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually lets you enjoy the island!...
The place does not look like the photos. You need to go through a path without light and in the middle of the road to be able to finf the hostel which doesn't even have a sign to know is the hostel. Also there was music at extremely loud volume at 6:30pm from 2 houses next to is in the road. Still, you were able to hear it from the shared room. The reception doesn't have fan and is realy hot. I didn't feel safe staying in the area as a woman to return alone in a tuc tuc that would leave in the middle of the road, me using just my flash light and also needing to wait for reception to open to me.
We were so looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, the host, completely ruined the experience. The property itself was far from the exact beaches we planned to explore and have fun—the place was just ok clean-but the level of rudeness and poor communication was truly something that we felt off. She doesn’t know how to communicate properly regarding the charges on Hostelworld that until now we are still confused but we have moved on because we did not want the situation that would entirely affect our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome even just to record a video on the front door for social media was I guess I don’t understand but we respected it . We had a slight issue on understanding the charges between hostel world and my hostel which she poorly communicated it. Again, we moved on that part to focus on exploring the island and enjoy Boracay. When we about to check out to get the deposit since our flight was too early then we knocked the door, called her, and even rang the doorbell but still no one answered . Before the guests would checkout they should be able to check if there are things that we need to be charged in case . But that absence of guests or the hosts would certainly create issue either the hosts can accuse us for anything most especially that we made sure to check that everything is in good state. The host as well has an opportunity on the timeliness of their responses. She usually replied late and the reason being that the deposit we failed to claim it back but we’re good if she has the amount. It is a matter of fact that the host has clearly an opportunity to work on the following areas. Now that we are about to claim the deposit, we received a reply that was defensive and accusatory. We made sure to check everything was good. I’m here to write this feedback to correct anything that needs to be corrected. I’m Using Hostelworld , my stay has always been fun , amazing, and welcoming except this for the first time. A Hostelworld stay should feel like a welcoming retreat, not a confrontation. If you value basic respect and courtesy, I strongly advise booking elsewhere. No amount of comfortable bedding is worth enduring such an unpleasant and rude host. The host was not accommodating at all. Hoping that you improve on the way you treat your guests.
The place is good but needs a lot of maintenance The a/c didnt work properly i have ants in my room and The next day i have ants on my bed the place said they have a breakfast buffet they only offer u eggs and toast old tv u cant use internet 🛜
Exceptional place to stay that's also inexpensive. The owner is impressively kind; it's a multicultural spot. I had truly wonderful moments meeting amazing people from various nationalities—what a pleasure!
Small and hot room, poorly installed air conditioning but Manu is a great guy. We had a great time with a good meal for New Year's. Location not great but easy to get to the center with taxi. 25 pesos to go to the center max 50 but don't pay 100.
Room and bathroom: very comfortable, soap provided, no toilet paper unless you ask, very, very small (for 6 people). It could be cleaned even when occupied. Location: far from the center, you have to walk a long way or take a tuk-tuk (which costs a maximum of 25 pesos if you share it). Noisy (chickens, a dog, and almost constant music around the hostel). Staff: helpful and very friendly. We spent New Year's Eve at the hostel, and Manu and his wife prepared a very generous and delicious dinner for us. Service: from the restaurant, for example: good, but the wait for food was too long, probably because the kitchen is rustic and not very efficient. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly for me, sometimes a little slow, but otherwise it was fine. Excellent value for money. Overall, I recommend the hostel and Manu's hospitality.
