Amame

Amame (styled Ámame) is a members-only lounge for lesbian, bisexual and queer women on Chino Roces Avenue in San Lorenzo, Makati, south of the Poblacion bar district and near the Pasong Tamo business strip. Founded in 2019, it describes itself as the Philippines' first membership club for the sapphic community and has operated continuously since, with 2026 Pride-weekend guides still listing it as an active late-night room with a dance floor and resident DJs. Access is restricted: you join through the application form on amame.space, and members may bring guests under the club's rules. The door policy exists to keep the space women-centred and safe, so gay men and mixed groups should not expect to be admitted on the night. Opening nights are typically Friday and Saturday from late evening, with occasional themed events and Pride-month parties announced on Instagram. Prices for membership and drinks are not published; enquire through the website. Amame is the only dedicated sapphic venue in Makati and one of very few in Metro Manila, which is why it appears in every current guide to queer women's nightlife in the Philippines.
