Moonlight Bangkok

The ceiling that once stood there is now just a memory. Tickets are 500 baht including a drink. The show doesn't start until 11 pm, and in 50 minutes, it features 7 artsy types and 6 muscular men walking the runway—so conservative it's almost embarrassing. The pajamas are practically begging for drinks; tipping is a thing of the past, and there were only 10 guests on Friday night. The outrageous prices of 280 baht for beer and 380 baht for Sprite deter repeat customers, but the models are still good-looking, making it a good place to visit after dinner around 9 pm.

Once the crown jewel of Bangkok, now a disappointment: tickets are 500 baht including drinks, the show starts at 11 am instead of 10:30 am on Fridays, the performance is downgraded to just an artsy fashion show, there's no sense of propriety, there are few handsome men and their English is poor, the older folks are practically begging you to buy drinks, the atmosphere is barely held together by Halloween decorations, and it costs 500-600 baht per person. After watching, you just want to leave quickly.

Funny experience to try once

If it's your first visit, don't be too hasty, get a feel for the atmosphere and system, and check carefully to see if there's a model you like. Then, when you visit again, choose a model that suits you (if you have your own type). You can inquire about the price. ㅎㅎ

Wonderful show, which has been updated. Mr Babe is amazing as ever, but there are new dance routines featuring other dancers, which are very tight, and impressive. I brought guests, and they were very impressed.

This was once a very fun and entertaining bar. Then, Moonlight took over. Now? It’s boring, non-entertaining and with only one drag performance. She is very good and could entertain us more. The space is not warm, bright lights and bad music. Most of the time, it is young men and ‘models’ parading continuously (on stage) for attention. If they caught your eye (which is very likely with all the naughty winks and licking of lips) you can book them and have them seated with you at your table. If you’re very lucky, maybe a touch of a hand on your thighs. If you’re not,you buy them drinks, the make you buy them more drinks, you get tipsy or drunk, you tip them and blah, blah, blah….

Tickets were 500 baht, Alipay was accepted. There were 7 artsy guys and 6 muscular guys; the number of guys was relatively small. The show lasted 50 minutes and was very artsy, but it didn't really interest me… The guy I liked didn't speak English very well, so I didn't choose him. The host kept pressuring me to buy something for the guy. I won't be coming back.
