Streha LGBTI Shelter

Streha ("the Shelter") opened in Tirana in 2014 as the first shelter for LGBTI people in the Balkans. Aleanca LGBT and Pro LGBT set it up. It gives young people thrown out by their families temporary housing for up to six months, along with psycho-social support and life-skills and vocational training. It isn't a place to visit. The address is kept secret to protect residents, and all referrals, donations and volunteering offers go through Aleanca LGBT.
