The interior is dated, stuck somewhere between the 1980s. The steam room is very small, and there are few guests. At least it's clean.

I went there once with high expectations. To the left of the entrance was this lodge, which the picture magnifies with a wide-angle lens! Okay! The toilets were right next to the showers, near the cold water pool, and people were going in there in their street clothes! It was unhygienic for me! The changing room was sterile, cold, and impersonal, like in a company! The entrance to the relaxation area was barely visible, and inside everything looked incredibly rustic, very basic with wooden partitions! Hardly anyone was there, and showing a pornographic film in the gay sauna was the last straw! While I was relaxing in the relaxation area, the owner came with three women in street clothes and showed them everything, even the intimate areas, so you had to be careful not to lie naked in front of them. After that, I left this place and intend never to go back until it's renovated! Sorry, that was my first and last impression! Since then, I'm going to Römersauna or Kaiserbründl! But my tip for a top gay bar would be: drive to Lobau Rafeneriestrasse. The next building after the Safari Lodge has been empty for years! Since there are many gay men there day and night, a daring owner could set up a disco, gay bar, sauna, and cruising area there and wouldn't bother anyone at all. There would even be a terrace for guests! It's right on the new Danube embankment with a large parking lot! Many of the clientele live above the Danube and would welcome it, especially since it's easily accessible and no parking permit is required!

I had a really great experience at the sauna today. The staff were extremely friendly, respectful, and professional, which made me feel very comfortable and welcome from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the people there were polite and considerate, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. The sauna wasn’t that big but I truly enjoyed my time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

A decidedly positive experience. The staff and owners are very kind, friendly, and welcoming, making you feel at ease from the moment you enter. The crowd was a real surprise: so many people, a relaxed atmosphere, and above all, very friendly and affable, ideal for those who love the bear scene. People here truly seek human contact, conversation, and friendship—if you have even a modicum of socializing, of course. This is precisely why I'm a bit surprised by some comments about patrons being closed to tourists: my experience was the exact opposite. I was there on a Tuesday, a bear-themed night, and the attendance was high, with a warm and inclusive atmosphere. The sauna is small and the facility isn't modern, but for me, this is a secondary aspect: if you go there to have fun and socialize, it's completely secondary. If, on the other hand, you're looking exclusively for a sauna, relaxation, and spacious spaces, it's clear that there are larger and nicer facilities—but that wasn't my goal. In short: a human, welcoming, authentic atmosphere, perfect for those seeking fun, people, smiles, and genuine interaction rather than design and luxury. I would gladly return.
