The Golden Lion / Zlatý Lev - Clarion Grandhotel

A lovely, traditional hotel. The food was tasty, but cold.

Polite, very helpful reception, beautiful and clean rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, central location = F.X.Saldy theater, town hall... comfortable walking distance

This hotel disappointed me. We had room number 201 and it was a disaster. Such a dark, ugly room with bars on the window. The window could hardly be opened and the view was of a wall. It's just that we were there for such a short time 🙏 and this room felt musty. It didn't even need to be aired out. It felt like we were staying in a basement.🙈

The room (family with extra bed) had a slightly musty smell, possibly from the carpet. Breakfast was decent, staff friendly. Great location, 5 minutes to shops and the town hall square 👍

Beautiful stylish hotel in the center of Liberec, yet quiet around. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection. The possibility of checking out until 12:00 is also great.

Really great experience, even though we had a little problem with the room at the beginning, the staff at the Golden Lion took great care of us. They tried to accommodate us as much as possible and also gave us some small compensation. I definitely recommend it and we will go again next time

Great location, well-appointed spa, delicious breakfasts. However, I was a bit disappointed that no one informed me about the change in terms of my reservation. Due to a local team match, I had to wait 3.5 hours for my room. We received our keys after 5:30 PM instead of 2:00 PM. Of course, the room rate remained unchanged, and as an apology, we were offered a welcome drink and free parking.

The service is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are below average for a 4-star hotel. The doors were battered and falling apart. 2 lights in the room did not work, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, or at least not in ours. The bathroom has also experienced something. Very soft mattresses. For the money, very below average. The breakfasts were okay. Every day was the same, but for a 3-day stay it was okay. (I do not recommend a longer stay) The 3-course dinner is basically the same as breakfast (or a choice of 2 dishes and soup) you have to pay for drinks, which was not mentioned and I only paid at checkout. A big disappointment.
