Jan Maria hotel & restaurant

I had a gala lunch at the Jan Maria Hotel in Ostrava and was very satisfied. The environment was pleasant, clean and had a nice atmosphere. The staff was nice, helpful and professional, they took excellent care of us the whole time. The food was delicious, nicely served and everything went without any unnecessary waiting. I also appreciate the overall organization of the gala lunch, thanks to which we were able to enjoy the whole event in peace. I can definitely recommend the Jan Maria Hotel for family celebrations, gala lunches and other social events.

Absolutely unsuccessful tasting menu. The soup was oversalted and the fallow deer back was not good at all.

I haven't written a review in a long time, now I have to... Thursday, around 11:30, we came as 3 adults for food. 1) They only have a menu for food, the rest only after 2 pm. Ok, I understand, but I wouldn't expect that from a restaurant of this quality 2) The waiter was in a mood like at the end of a shift. Ok, I accept, not every day is rosy 3) At the beginning of the menu it says: Soup according to the daily offer, without a stated PRICE, so I would expect it to be included in the menu price. When asked, they said... WE HAVE BROTH AND KULAJDA without any further specification or pricing. Ordered 1 + 1. When paying, the broth was charged per kilo! Kulajda was supposedly included in the price, but not the broth. I don't understand... And we had that one menu without soup! 4) A carafe of water with the menu 1l for 100 CZK. A joke? In Ostrava somewhere by the heap? Are you even normal? 5) For the price of another 210 CZK/menu (price without problems, but as I say everything else is charged separately) no gastronomic art. There is no problem with the price, but with what you get for it Total for 3 x menu (one was without soup) + 1 extra soup + 2 x lemonade + 2l water + 1 matcha + 2 coffees 1,400 CZK For me, a massacre, because there were mushrooms of gastronomy in it and in my opinion, only the waiter or any other staff member needed to find someone to tip food and water for friends who will come. I give some stars for the environment and design and for the willingness to accommodate me when there was a complication with payment

The best cuisine and service!! Clean everywhere and a beautiful covered terrace in the style of a covered winter garden. Amazing atmosphere. I recommend 👍👌

My wife and I spent one day here and were very satisfied. The hotel is nice, modern and located in a quiet area of ​​a former mining house. The staff was nice and the food was very good. The advantage is the good location, just 5 minutes from the Hranecnik public transport terminal. Parking is for a fee, but right next to the building. We definitely recommend it! :-)

The hotel is clean, quiet, modern. The service in the hotel and the restaurant is pleasant. The restaurant is a nice surprise, the food is delicious and visually beautiful. The price is appropriate.
