How can they rent rooms in this condition and still have 3 stars on Booking.com? So disappointing

A very mixed experience. Upon arrival, the elevator broke down, and we were stuck inside for about five minutes with no cell service. Even more worrying, the emergency call button wasn't working. For someone with claustrophobia, this could have been a very difficult situation. Following this breakdown, we had to carry all our luggage up the stairs. Once in our room, we discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working. After inquiring at reception, we were told that all the rooms were affected and that it was possible to cancel our stay. This was hardly feasible at the last minute, especially since finding available accommodation in a hurry is so complicated. On the positive side, the hotel is very clean, the rooms are well-maintained, and the parking is convenient and reasonably priced. It's a shame that these significant technical problems so drastically impacted our stay.

Disappointed with my stay. I had booked a room with a king-size bed, paying a supplement through a partner website. Upon arrival, I was given a twin room where the two beds had simply been pushed together to form a double bed. The receptionists told me that there were no rooms with a true king-size bed in the hotel and that all rooms were equipped with twin beds. However, the photos shown during the booking process clearly depicted rooms with a king-size bed, which is misleading. Furthermore, this configuration is very uncomfortable at night: the beds regularly separate with the slightest movement, forcing me to constantly push them back together. It is neither comfortable nor what one expects when booking a king-size bed. I would, however, like to thank the evening security guard, who was very understanding and found a solution, unlike the reception staff. A disappointing experience due to a lack of transparency regarding the rooms, despite the appreciated help of the security guard.

Avoid at all costs!! My friend and I were stuck in the elevator with no cell service, the emergency call didn't work, and on top of that, the air conditioning wasn't working. They claimed we received a call telling us it wasn't working – a complete lie!! Don't book, even for a short stay!

A great experience for me. June 2026, one night for under €100 is perfect. It's clean, secure, and the reception staff are friendly. Excellent! Breakfast was included because there's no air conditioning (normally €9), and it was a good, substantial breakfast! I recommend it if you're going on a cruise; it's right next door.

It was a good stay. Everything was very clean. The staff were very helpful. However, we weren't too happy about the €250 deposit. It's mentioned on the website and in the terms and conditions, but who actually reads those? In the end, the refund was processed very quickly. We'll probably try booking a room again when we're there in person.

Smoking is prohibited in the dormitories, and when we arrived at ours, it smelled strongly of cigarettes. They also require a €250 deposit, and as soon as we got to the room we smelled cigarette smoke and saw a broken microwave plate. They could easily have charged us this amount if we hadn't noticed it upon arrival. When I asked to change rooms because of the smell, the cleaning man came in with us to check, laughed at us, and said the room didn't smell of anything, as if we were lying about it. They changed our room after our insistence. And they still haven't refunded the €250.

Not a great experience. The rooms are old and dirty. The reception isn't very friendly, even though they force a smile. The location is good for a short stay on the port, but avoid it if you plan on going out in the evening. There are better options for the same price closer to the center...
