CSD Bochum

CSD Bochum is the city's Christopher Street Day, organised by a volunteer group (the CSD-Plenum, Instagram @csdbochum) rather than a large association. It's a political march with a party afterwards. In 2026 it ran on Saturday 20 June under the motto "Feuer und Flamme": the march went from the Schauspielhaus forecourt to the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum, and the party was at the Rotunde.

The event has had a bumpy few years. In 2024 the march was cancelled at short notice and people were asked to join the protest against the AfD party conference in Essen instead. In 2025 it ran on 30 August, financed by more than €5,000 in donations. No reliable attendance figure has been published. The 2027 date had not been announced at the time of writing; check @csdbochum. The bigger Ruhr Prides are Ruhr.CSD in Essen and CSD Dortmund.
