Lalelu Hostel

Very clean hostel with beautiful rooms in a prime location! 👌 We spent two nights in the King Suite and really enjoyed it! The bathrooms were always clean too. Unfortunately, we were in Dresden during this extreme heatwave, and the heat became unbearable in the room. A fan would have been nice.

The hostel was relatively centrally located and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom/shower! The room was also clean, apart from the stains on the carpet. Unfortunately, I could hardly sleep because the shisha bar across the hall and in the courtyard was incredibly loud, and the party went on until 12:30 a.m. CONSTANTLY!! In addition, the rooms are very noisy. Overall, it's a good and inexpensive place to stay for travelers, but be prepared for very little sleep!

The key handover at the café next door was straightforward. The hostel's common areas are painted in beautiful, vibrant colors. Everything is well-equipped and clean. The location is excellent, and the S-Bahn (suburban train) is quite close. Thanks to the courtyard, it's quieter, even though it's on a busy main street. One drawback: I wish the other guests had grasped the concept of door handles. The frequent banging was annoying, as the floor is very noisy. The round bed in the space-themed room looks cozy in the picture, but unfortunately, it's too small. Because of its round shape, there are no proper ends, and the actual sleeping area is tiny. I kept waking up because my subconscious was constantly on edge, worried about falling out.

*Addendum from my second visit: The walls are really thin, and some guests unfortunately don't seem to grasp the concept of a doorknob. You can hear conversations through the walls. This isn't the hostel's fault, and I would still wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. However, if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to pack earplugs, as you can't always choose your fellow guests. A very nice, small hostel that feels more like an apartment. It features cozy and clean rooms and a large kitchen equipped with everything you need for a short break. It's very centrally located yet quiet thanks to its position in the back of the building. Check-in and check-out are super easy.

Creatively designed: each room is individually decorated, clean, and tidy. There's a shared kitchen with a refrigerator on the floor, as well as two shared bathrooms and gender-separated toilets. Quiet location in a courtyard. Excellent value for money. The hostel is easily accessible by public transport.

Excellent hostel. Great value for money in Dresden.
