Saunaland Aquarium

Large sauna with a mixed crowd, people of all ages from 20 to 65. I went in on Saturday at 2:30 pm and the sauna was already quite full. It was cozy, and the underfloor heating was pleasant. The only downside was that the aquarium in the bar area was very dirty and there were no plants in it.

Hi everyone. I'm from Stuttgart and I stumbled across this sauna by chance 👍🏻 I really like it and it's nice and spacious 👍🏻 The staff is excellent! Everything is great and the prices are fair! I'll be back! We have the Viva Sauna in Stuttgart. It's really small! That's why I go to Karlsruhe 👍🏻 Cheers

Very nice and large sauna with beautiful areas.

Can't give a real review yet, because I haven't been there 😜 I'm actually straight, but I'm noticing a strong bisexual tendency that I'd love to explore 🫣 Somehow I'm too scared. Unfortunately, I'm overweight, which makes me even more insecure. Maybe someday 🥴

Today was my first and definitely last visit to the Aquarium Sauna. Many of the critical comments I had heard beforehand were unfortunately confirmed. The pool was more chilly than relaxing, the staff unfriendly and uninterested – you can clearly sense that economic interests are more important here than genuine hospitality. The facility appears severely neglected; some shower heads literally let you see into the false ceiling. Safety doesn't seem to play a major role either. What was most disappointing, however, was the atmosphere. The sauna appears to be predominantly frequented by older, white, cis men, some of whom display very transgressive behavior. A simple "no" is not respected, and physical assaults are trivialized – behavior that should have no place in a society built on solidarity and respect. The fact that the staff fails to intervene is telling. In other, more modern saunas, it's long been standard practice to have condoms or lubricant available at the bar – a simple but important sign of responsibility and a safe sex culture. Here, you won't find any. The food was decent and the prices fair, but that doesn't make up for the fundamental problems this place faces. All in all, I give it 1 out of 5 stars. I wish places like this would understand that respect, diversity, and safety aren't trivial matters – but the foundation of any open and supportive community.

I really like the sauna – it's the right size, the people are great, and there's a good variety. But one thing is really off-putting: an employee (blond, glasses, tattoos, German) is incredibly arrogant and condescending. As if guests in a gay sauna aren't also customers! To snap at them when a guest sees things differently than he does is inappropriate, in my opinion. To me, he's like a lifeguard from the 1950s, not a host. Sorry, but if you behave like that, you have to be prepared to face those kinds of comments. I hope this gives you something to think about.

This sauna is the best I've ever experienced! Everything about it is perfect. Well-maintained, clean, varied, friendly, relaxing... I'm thrilled!

I'm rarely in Karlsruhe, but I always try to visit the aquarium. I'll readily admit that it's primarily for cruising! I've always been satisfied so far! Unfortunately, it won't work out this time! What a shame! The aquarium is simply fantastic!

Super clean, pleasant and great staff who are also very friendly. Pleasant outdoor area with plenty of places to relax.

I visited the aquarium for the first time yesterday, Friday, as I'm not from the area. I found it amazing that for only €17 I could use the pool, saunas, steam room, and even the cinema. The prices for drinks and sauna access are also very reasonable, in my opinion. My only criticism would be that a small map should be posted at the entrance. I knew what was there, but I didn't know where everything was. Overall, the sauna area appears clean and well-maintained. I would gladly return if the opportunity arises.

This isn't my first time here, so I can confidently say, and compare it to other experiences: great sauna 🙌 (good price, always clean, friendly staff). I go on Sundays and it's always packed.

I've been going there regularly for years now. It's definitely one of the best gay saunas in Baden-Württemberg. The sauna is very well-maintained, and the prices are still well below average. In my opinion, everyone, young and old, feels very comfortable here. The staff is friendly to everyone who is friendly to them. You reap what you sow. But that shouldn't need explaining to a normally civilized person.

Beautiful, clean sauna. Very reasonably priced! There's a cozy bistro area, a large cruising area upstairs, and attractive, clean cabins. All in all, well worth a visit!
