Stayed here for a day/night before an early flight home. Location was great to walk to sites with tons of restaurants around. Clean and well kept rooms. But most importantly, the staff are so kind. The women working offered to pack me up pastries in the morning I was leaving. They were some of the nicest people.

Impeccable welcome and service. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious, and the hotel is ideally located a 5-minute walk from the Massimo Theatre and 15 minutes from the historic district, right next to the airport shuttle. Perfect for a short city break!

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. My stay was truly delightful, and I want to thank the entire team for their warm welcome, kindness, and attentiveness. A special mention goes to Denise, who was exceptional: always attentive, caring, smiling, and in an incredibly cheerful mood. Her hospitality and kindness truly made my stay even more wonderful. The hotel is ideally located, close to the center, very clean, and perfectly maintained. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. I highly recommend this hotel and will gladly return. Thank you again to the entire team for this wonderful stay! 🤍

Extremely clean rooms, ideal central location, very good breakfast We stayed at the Hotel Alma in Palermo for 10 nights (June 24 to July 4, 2026) and were very happy with our choice. This small hotel, whose rooms are spread over several floors in a solid residential building (a so-called "boutique hotel"), boasts an ideal central location close to the old town's attractions and public transportation, perfectly clean rooms, and a very good breakfast. The reception and breakfast room are located on the second floor. Our double room (matrimonale), number 307, was on the third floor and was quite quiet, facing the courtyard at the back. The rooms at the Hotel Alma are extremely clean, with new, modern furnishings and everything you need (however, as is common in many hotels these days, there is insufficient storage space for clothes, as there is no wardrobe; only a chest of drawers and open shelves). We found the pillows on the bed a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise everything was very good (they even provide disposable slippers in the room). The window can be darkened with blinds. The air conditioning, essential in the summer heat of Palermo, is quiet and can be controlled by remote. A small, silent refrigerator provides two complimentary bottles of mineral water (0.5 liters, still and sparkling) per person each day! The hotel reception is staffed until late in the evening, and the staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Michele for his consistently attentive and friendly service! The breakfast buffet was very good, even though it only offered cold dishes: Every day there is a wide selection of sweet local specialties (which you won't find at home, only here in Sicily!) such as cannoli, at least three kinds of fresh cake, various pastries (some filled), ravioli, and fresh, chopped fruit like melon, kiwi, banana, and pineapple – the selection changes slightly each day. And of course, there are all the usual standard items like cornflakes, Nutella, jam, juice, milk, and yogurt. For those who don't have a sweet tooth, there's ham, salami, cheese, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes in oil, baguettes, whole-wheat bread slices, toast, and so on, along with croissants, pastries filled with sausage or ham and mozzarella, or pizza rolls – all of which can be heated up on the contact grill if desired. Freshly ground coffee comes from a self-service coffee machine, allowing you to select from a variety of coffees like espresso, Americano, etc., at the touch of a button (and, of course, combine them if you have a sufficiently large cup). The espresso is excellent, by the way, and the staff in the breakfast room are quick and attentive, ensuring the buffet is always well-stocked. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. ... The hotel boasts an ideal location: Upon exiting the hotel entrance, a 5-minute walk to the right leads to Via Roma, where several regularly scheduled bus lines (such as AMAT buses 101 and 102) provide direct service to the Stazione Centrale train station (from the Via Cavour stop) and in the opposite direction (from the Stabile stop), for example, towards the stadium or (with a transfer) to Mondello beach. Turning left from the hotel entrance, a 5-minute walk takes you to the start of the 2-kilometer-long pedestrian zone, Via Maqueda, which runs through the historic center. Alternatively, the Politeama Theater is just around the corner, with additional bus stops located in the square (including a shuttle bus to Palermo Airport and an AMAT bus to the Palazzo Reale). ... We can highly recommend the Alma Hotel in Palermo (which we consider a 4-star hotel!) with its excellent value for money to anyone who, like us, wants to comfortably explore the interesting city and its beautiful surroundings as a base for a successful stay in northern Sicily!

A friend of mine and I stayed two nights at the Alma Hotel and had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness and helpfulness by the entire staff, who made our stay truly pleasant. A special thanks goes to the reception staff, Francesco and Michele, who were always smiling, professional, and ready to help us with any needs. Their courtesy and attentiveness truly made the difference. The breakfast staff were also extremely kind and attentive. The breakfast was plentiful, varied, and made with excellent quality products—a perfect way to start the day. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and meticulously maintained. The bathroom, in particular, was truly large and impeccable. We highly recommend the Alma Hotel to anyone looking for a great location, a welcoming atmosphere, competent staff, and excellent service. Thank you all so much; we'll definitely be back! Irene & Rosaria
