Farina Restaurant

This place promises more than it delivers. The staff were friendly, but the tagliatelle with truffles turned out to be pasta with a single piece of truffle and truffle oil that was far too salty. The cheese in the salad was meant to pass for fresh Parmesan, but it didn’t quite cut it. Perhaps the fact that they were preparing a table for a group of 60 explains the kitchen’s performance that day. But I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I wish the Team and the Chef the best, but even the best recommendations are obligations and not always evidence.

Excellent cuisine and a wonderful atmosphere. The dishes are refined, the flavors pure and distinct. A big plus is the service and the sommelier, Marcin —professional, to the point, without being overly pompous, and the wine selection is perfectly chosen. A place you'll want to return to.

From the moment we stepped through the doors of Farina, we knew we were in for something special. The service was exceptional from start to finish — the staff were incredibly welcoming, polite and attentive, while also being genuinely warm and helpful. We felt very well looked after throughout the entire evening. The food was simply outstanding. We started with the spicy crab soup, which was absolutely delicious and had just the right balance of heat and flavour, followed by the seafood platter as our main course, which was beautifully presented and full of wonderfully fresh flavours. To finish, we had the plum crumble, which was the perfect end to an exceptional meal — beautifully prepared, comforting and absolutely delicious. Every dish reflected an obvious attention to detail, from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation and execution. Having experienced the food and service ourselves, we were not at all surprised by the Michelin star — it is thoroughly deserved. What made the evening particularly memorable was the combination of exceptional food, impeccable service and a wonderful atmosphere. There was a real sense of care behind the whole experience, and it felt like much more than simply having dinner — it was a truly special evening. Farina is a restaurant we will remember fondly, and one we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience in Kraków. We left extremely impressed and would love to return.

Sublime food, presented beautifully - but oh dear, so let down by customer experience. We were put on a table for two squashed between a (very loud) table of six and another table for four. We asked to move table and the staff helpfully arranged this - but despite saying they would move everything to our new table: they didn't. We lost our water and our menus and we were then left for 20 mins - with no-one coming to attend to us. Eventually we managed to get someone's attention but by then we were about to leave in frustration. There seems to be a lot of staff but no-one actually doing anything. Overall - a big disappointment for our last night in Krakow and at those prices, expect much better.

A wonderful place with a beautiful interior, excellent food, and a fantastic atmosphere. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the flavors were truly impressive. A special mention goes to the service. We were served by Weronika, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. She gave us great recommendations and made sure every detail was taken care of, which made our evening even more enjoyable. Definitely a place we would love to come back to. Highly recommended!

We were heading out to catch a flight & needed lunch. Farina was down the walkway from our hotel. What a find. Our server, Arthur, was delightful and made some suggestions for a quick lunch. It was diningcat its finest. We ordered the bread with truffle pate. Yummy! Then the turbot with creamy potatoes and chanterelles. I had a sparkling wine and my husband a Sauvignon blanc. We ended with the hazelnut swirl. A perfect ending to our trip to Krakow

A very pleasant place, and very elaborate dishes. Superb cooking of the zander, beef of exceptional tenderness, excellent trout galantine, homemade bread, and a selection of wines by the glass (including a Polish red with aromas of red fruits and chocolate)... almost flawless, if not for the donut served with the lamb tartare... incongruous. In the end: A remarkable table!

Great selection of food, but mainly caters for fish which is our preference. Located in the old town, so easy to get to, with a great atmosphere and comfy seating. We both had the Halibut and would highly recommend. Jsmena was our server and she was lovely, very friendly and great recommendations such as wine pairings. We found the food in Krakow to be of a good standard in all the restaurants we ate in, but this was a level above. It was also the most expensive, but we happily paid the extra for the food, service and ambience. Would recommend and use again.

The food and the service were a revelation, sensational. Many thanks in particular to Ismena; she made the evening even more wonderful through her service and her help (I am handicapped). I would like to note: no cloth napkins and no "amuse-bouche," but that does not detract from the food. Outstanding in taste and presentation. The cuisine is light and with amazing flavors. Everything is just right. And the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. I will be back.

What a truly amazing experience our dinner in Farina was! We chosen from its outstanding reviews and weren’t disappointed. The service was very special: understated and very knowledgeable. The sommelier knew exactly what he was talking about and recommended excellent wines. We had baby octopus and prawns to start which were beautiful. We then had steak and turbot for main which were both excellent - especially the steak! We shared a tiramisu and then a Talisker for my Scottish husband who was delighted to see the extensive whisky menu! All in all, one of the best meals and dining experiences we have had anywhere in the world.
