POLO 56 Sauna

Hello nice people, I had the pleasure of visiting Sauna 56 in 2024, and I was very well attended to by the guys who worked there at the time. However, unfortunately, I was there in November 2025, on November 25th, and a terrible attendant, Thiago, was there. He was rude, stupid, and ill-mannered, and it was a shame, so I ended up leaving. The sauna employs these attendants who have no manners whatsoever, being rude to the customers who frequent the place, and there's also discrimination based on whether they are men alone or accompanied. The place should be open to the LGBT+ public, not discriminating against sex or sexual orientation, men, women, or trans people. We are all equal, each in our own style, but enjoying the place. It's a shame that the place discriminates with prices, length of stay, and sexual orientation.

As a woman, I feel super comfortable and safe here, something that often doesn't happen in other saunas, since some men can be quite annoying and inconvenient. Here it's different, I'm rarely bothered and when it happens the staff intervene quickly, which makes all the difference. Most of the time, the people who bother me are foreigners, but nothing that the team can't resolve quickly. I read some reviews and saw people complaining about "wanting to have people," but that's already super well explained, before paying, at reception, on the venue's website. For me, it's one of the places where I feel super safe and welcome, so I think it deserves a much better rating than it has.

The sauna is simply fantastic, an impeccably clean and fragrant space. The reception staff demonstrate remarkable friendliness and politeness, even in difficult situations, such as when a foreigner rudely and ill-manneredly tried to consume drugs at the bar, despite the sauna's rules. Even so, they remained calm, always treating him with respect and professionalism. However, it was necessary to call security to remove the offender. Unfortunately, there are saunas that allow everything and more just to have a full house.

Super expensive

I love this place, very comfortable and discreet… I've been a few times and now they have an even lower entrance fee (€30). What I like most about Apolo56 is the pool with jacuzzi and I can't fail to mention how clean the place is, I highly recommend it and I will be back again soon.

I've been there a few times and I love the facilities; I think in terms of space it's one of the best saunas in Lisbon. Unfortunately, it's also the most boring because it never has more than 4 or 5 people. The large space contrasts with the number of clients, but it also seems like the place doesn't expect to receive many people and therefore has relatively few lockers. Seeing few people in a small sauna is normal, seeing few people in a sauna as large as this one is confusing. Nobody wants to wander around empty corridors, be alone in a dark room, or in a jacuzzi the size of a swimming pool. I've been to cinemas with smaller rooms than this one, but unlike those, this one is always empty. And yes, I was alone, but if I were with someone and decided to go to a sauna, I would still prefer to have someone else around me, and when I wanted privacy I would go to a room. I understand the idea of ​​not being a "swinger sauna," but that also ends up being contradictory to the facilities, which promote sexual openness. For example, in a hotel sauna, I won't find a sex swing. I also understand the concept of being a "premium sauna," but I think it's difficult to have a premium experience if you're there alone. That makes sense in a resort in the Maldives, not in a sauna in the city center. I think they should adjust their prices to match the competition and let the combination of the excellent space with more people create the premium experience. The dynamic of being asked for €40 at the door and having to show the flyer from the website with the "promotion," take a picture of it, and even sign the receipt creates a very awkward dynamic at the entrance. In addition to this, there's also the 5-hour limit imposed on this flyer, which might make sense in a crowded sauna, but not in this case. Even other saunas with more customers don't do this and still have a steady flow of people. I believe it has the potential to be a 5-star sauna, but they should review their business model.

Good afternoon. I've been there several times. I like the place and it's well organized. However, I'm going to give up. It's always empty. The most customers I've ever seen there were 4. Honestly. They respond in a review that they're not a swinger sauna, but they have themed rooms, which are really useless if there aren't people there. The other saunas are full and this one is always deserted. In an LGBT sauna, there shouldn't be a price difference based on gender. Why does a woman pay less than a man? I don't understand.

Absolutely. thrilled with my experience at SaunApolo 56! The cleanliness and hygiene of the space were exceptional, which is often overlooked. in similar venues. I felt completely.at ease knowing the facilities were well-maintained. Highly.recommend!
