Everything was very sad when we checked in. You have to pay for laundry. The hotel doesn't meet sanitary standards, the mattresses need to be changed, and they're in deplorable condition. The lock on the door to the room often jams, and the room is only slightly larger than a coffin.

For some reasons, I have had to travel to Moscow several times over the past year and stay in Moscow for two days & one night before returning to the UK immediately. For this I needed to find a suitable place in Moscow where I could spend an evening, and preferably in the city center. So I found this cute little hotel and spent a cozy night here many times. There is no doubt that the rooms in this hotel are small and poorly soundproofed, late at night and early in the morning you can hear your neighbors walking and chatting in their rooms and corridors. But I think these shortcomings are acceptable considering the cheap price and very central location of this hotel. If you want to travel in comfort, I would recommend choosing a higher priced hotel to guarantee your experience, but if you are just looking for a place to stay in Moscow, this hotel is your best choice.

A group of schoolchildren from Petrozavodsk, while on a field trip to Moscow, found themselves in an unpleasant situation. They booked a hotel through the 101 Hotel website, initially for February 16th to 17th, then changed their dates to February 17th and 18th, paid for everything, and arrived at the Winterfeel Hotel (24 Malaya Ordynka Street). They were met with ignorance of the change and a refusal to refund their deposit, claiming they hadn't been informed of the date change. The children were held hostage by the lack of communication between the hotel and their agent, and by the hotel's arrogance, which refused to refund their full deposit or credit it for their stay the following day. Hotel manager Yulia didn't care that their agent had been informed of the change in arrival date; the agent didn't contact them, and that's it – their full deposit was forfeited. The selfish and indifferent attitude is evident.

Ugly interior, how could they even come up with something like this?

Good afternoon. Dear guests planning to check into this hostel, I understand that everyone wants to save money, but you can rent a hotel for a thousand rubles more and it's more comfortable than this one. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 on January 5, 2024. The receptionist was very rude and told me that check-in was at 2:00 PM. When I asked if I could iron, they said no. After I complained that there should be a shared iron in the hostel, they allowed me to do so. Then, I checked my bags and returned at 10:30 PM. They gave me my bed linen and told me I needed to make it. I'd like to ask the management if the 3,200 ruble price only includes overnight accommodation. Why, knowing in advance that we would be staying together, didn't they make up our bed linen for us?! Besides making my own, I also made up a sheet with a hole in it. Towels are only for the body, not for the face. Slippers are extra. There's only one hairdryer for the entire hotel. There's NO COOLER 🚫❌, and there are no shops nearby. If you have children, they offer tap water. To summarize, the only positives are the proximity to the metro, the food is delicious, and Red Square is nearby. Again, the location is great, and the service is excellent. 📍❓ Yes, most importantly, the budget rooms have no windows; you can suffocate from the stuffiness.

Terrible conditions: cramped rooms, inadequate showers, and the rooms themselves are so stuffy that you'll have to stock up on dozens of liters of water. Overall rating: -100/10

Excellent budget hotel.

The conditions are absolutely terrible. The rooms are so cramped that you can't even unpack your suitcase! There are no closets for your belongings, and the room doors are located in such a narrow corridor that two people can't enter or exit at the same time. The toilets and showers are combined, so you have to wait 30 minutes in line. The reception staff has no information about available or reserved rooms, so they often evict people. The entrance staircase is covered in crumbling plaster that no one sweeps up! The hostel completely fails to meet fire and sanitary standards!!!

We chose Winterfell solely for its price and location. We paid 6,500 rubles for three nights in a double room. We specifically requested a room facing the courtyard, away from the showers and kitchen. As a result, it was quiet at night, and we got a 4/5 night's sleep. Overall, the hotel is very audible. Service: The room was clean, and they even provided towels. The only downside: the air conditioning is constantly running, making it very cold at night. I couldn't find any buttons in the room to control it. Perhaps you can ask the receptionist to turn it off, but I forgot and didn't check. Restrooms and kitchen: I never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes for my turn, and the restrooms were mostly empty. They were also clean. Our floor had separate toilets and showers, but there are also combined showers and toilets. The size of the kitchen apparently also depends on the number of rooms on the floor; ours was small. + photo I'm giving the hotel 5 stars because we got what we expected: a hostel with a private room near the metro. The room is indeed small, and it was cramped for two people, but we only stayed there overnight as we mostly spent time exploring Moscow. So, for me, this isn't a negative for the low price.
