Extremely disappointing stay – numerous deficiencies, no support, inappropriate handling of criticism My stay at the Amra Barcelona Caspe was unfortunately unacceptable in many respects. Since the hotel claimed in its public response to my review that my comments were "not true," I would like to describe the situation again in detail and in a way that is easy to understand. 1. Multiple reported problems – no solution During my stay, I reported the existing deficiencies to reception several times by phone. Despite my complaints, I received not a single appropriate or practical solution. Instead, I was advised to book other accommodation at my own expense. A partial refund was only offered if my room was re-let – even though it was clearly evident at that time that rooms were still available. This "solution" was therefore practically impossible. 2. Condition of the room The condition of the room was completely unacceptable for an officially managed hotel. I documented all the issues with photos, including: • Peeling and damaged walls • Significant mold growth in the shower • Dirty curtains, walls, and surfaces • A severely saggy mattress • Generally unkempt condition of the room These deficiencies fall far short of the standard one would expect from a professional hotel. 3. Heating System and Safety The "heating system" consisted solely of a ventilation system that was clearly poorly maintained. It blew dust and unpleasant odors from the entrance area directly into the room, which is not only unhygienic but also a health hazard. As a replacement, I was offered portable heaters, which were obviously unsafe and completely inadequate. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel. 4. Handling of Criticism Instead of taking the problems seriously or at least constructively addressing my concerns, the public response accused me of providing false information. This is particularly disappointing, especially since numerous other reviews mention the same issues. Disputing reality doesn't change the fact that these deficiencies actually exist. 5. Conclusion I carefully documented my stay, the deficiencies, and my communication with them. I repeatedly and promptly requested assistance and was open to solutions. Unfortunately, none were forthcoming. My stay was characterized by a lack of cleanliness, technical problems, unprofessional service, and a lack of willingness to take responsibility. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Amra Barcelona Caspe and strongly advise against staying there.

It was a terrifying experience. For three days, we were woken early every morning by the sounds in the video. Is this a hotel or a construction site?

Good bed nice located but beware check in after 22:00 has costs between 20-35€ extra

Very nice hostal to stay at during our short visit to Barcelona. Very grateful it had an elevator, a whack of stairs to go up and go down, lol . Located in downtown Barcelona, it was very central and easy access to a lot of stuff all within walking distance. Very cool area to explore and immerse oneself. Hostal staff Very friendly and helpful.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! As soon as we arrived, they charged us €20 for a 10-minute delay. Then they informed us that the air conditioning wasn't working, promising that a technician would come the next day (it was 40 degrees Celsius in Barcelona). After two days of teasing, rudeness, and arrogance from Mr. Francesco, the solution was to leave, paying for our stay again despite having already paid on Booking.com, and booking another hotel at our own expense, putting us in serious difficulty because the refund would be due after 15 days. In short, a terrible place. We spent two days of hell, unable to sleep.
