To Helen: Do you go to brothels or female strip clubs? Most likely not, and they probably wouldn't let you in. There are places that aren't designed for you or for women; it's as simple as choosing a place where you'll feel comfortable. I'll go to Darkroom knowing you can't go in.

A response to Helen's review: Men’s gay bars exist primarily as social spaces for gay and bisexual men where they can meet, socialise, and express themselves freely without feeling observed or judged. In Spain, the Spanish Constitution of 1978 guarantees equality but also allows freedom of association, and under the Organic Law 3/2007 for the Effective Equality of Women and Men and related legislation, venues can organise events or environments aimed at specific groups when the purpose is to support that community. Because of this, some men’s gay venues argue they are preserving a space intended primarily for gay men. The intention is not hostility toward women but maintaining the social environment the venue was created to provide for that particular community. 🏳️‍🌈

It's a discriminatory bar based on sex; refusing entry to a woman simply for being a woman is discriminatory, and vice versa. It's unconstitutional and therefore illegal. A bar open to the public must comply with current legislation. I was with my male friends (I'm a woman), and they refused me entry because it was a men-only party. Of course, I left because I wasn't going to ruin the night by calling the police; you were lucky. But you can be sanctioned for this; the right of admission can never be discriminatory based on race or sex. Look into it.

It's the men's bar and entertainment venue Benidorm needed. You feel comfortable from the moment you arrive, thanks to the gorgeous and friendly host at the door. And as soon as you step inside, the bartenders are amazing and make you feel like a 10 out of 10! The place is spacious, the music is great, and if you want to have a little more fun, you know what to do: entering their entertainment area will be a fantastic experience. Beautiful people, incredible staff, great music, and guaranteed fun—all that and more awaits you at Dark Room Benidorm 😎🐷👍

A place to return to. Great customer service and good music. They know how to treat customers very well. I'll be back in August and I'll recommend it. It's the best gay bar in Benidorm.

It had been a while since I'd been to Benidorm, and I discovered this bar, and I can only say that the staff and the atmosphere were incredible. We'll be back soon, and thank you for your hospitality.

A great bar with fantastic music and a great atmosphere. The bartenders are all very friendly. Moteo, Fran, and Marcelo. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the place is full of attractive people looking to have a good time.

From the moment you arrive, you feel very comfortable because the staff is excellent and attentive at all times. The place is very pleasant, with a great layout throughout, and the music is excellent. A great atmosphere in every way and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, don't miss it!

Dark Room surprised me at this Benidorm Fest 2026 for many reasons. A great atmosphere, all kinds of nice people, eager to have fun and maybe even a little something sexy, why not? I'll be back again and again 💖

You have to specify clearly that an orange vodka is with Fanta and not with juice because if you don't specify it you have to drink it with juice because according to the waiter that's how you ordered it.

It’s the busiest place in Old Town Benidorm, absolutely packed most nights, and the music’s just proper good, no fake vibes.
