Breakfast was very good. The rooms are a bit musty. Both rooms smelled strongly of some kind of disinfectant. Even airing them out didn't help much. The staff is friendly and helpful.

A grueling experience, an unsuitable room, and service that completely ruined my vacation. I booked over six months in advance hoping for a relaxing six-night holiday. Unfortunately, it was clear from the start that reality was nothing like what was advertised online. After a long and tiring journey, around 6:30 p.m., the receptionist presented us with a document we were required to sign without any explanation. We weren't told what it contained, weren't given time to read it, and its purpose wasn't explained. It was practically a mandatory condition for our stay. At that moment, I felt like I could have signed anything without realizing it, which is completely unacceptable in a hotel. Although all our information had already been provided through Booking.com, the receptionist insisted on photocopying our passports without justifying why it was necessary. The service was cold, authoritarian, and disrespectful. The room we were assigned didn't resemble the photos advertised at all. Instead of a bright and comfortable room, we were given a space facing a technical courtyard, with pipes, ducts, metal columns, and the hallway ventilation windows, always ajar. The noise poured directly into the room. Soundproofing was practically nonexistent. We constantly heard people's voices in the hallway, the workers' conversations, and the loud slamming of doors due to the heavy handles. Rest was almost impossible. The hardest thing to endure was the foul odor that the air conditioning system forced directly into the room. Every time we turned it on, the smell intensified and became unbearable. The windows didn't close tightly, which amplified both the noise and the smells. When I opened the window, all I could see were the hallway windows, which were kept open to ventilate the common area. Through the windows, I could hear all the conversations, and an unpleasant smell wafted in—a mixture of dampness, ventilation, and other fumes that made it impossible to air out the room properly. There were no official hotel documents in the room: – no "Do Not Disturb / Please Clean" sign, – no instructions about housekeeping, – no emergency numbers, – no meal or service times. This complete lack of information created confusion and a constant feeling of disorganization. As the days went by, I felt isolated, uncomfortable, and subjected to conditions unbecoming of a hotel. The language barrier and the unfriendly attitude of the staff made it even more difficult to manage the situation. I tried to stay calm, but the experience became increasingly burdensome. It was exhausting and emotionally draining. I felt so awful that, frankly, I never want to hear about Málaga again. For a six-day trip, the level of discomfort was completely unacceptable. I don't know who could endure something like that. The difference between what's advertised online and what this hotel actually offers is enormous. For me, this experience completely ruined my vacation and left a very negative impression. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for decent conditions, transparency, respect, and a stay that lives up to what's promised on their website. Sergiu Marin

I want to especially highlight the excellent service provided by Bernardo and his colleague (morning shift) at the Hotel Don Curro reception. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made our stay much more enjoyable. They always greeted us with a smile, efficiently resolving any questions and making us feel welcome from the very first moment. It's a pleasure to find people who enjoy their work and transmit such a positive attitude to guests. Bernardo is undoubtedly a great asset to the hotel. Thank you so much for your excellent service. We will be delighted to return! Warm regards, Patricia
