Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff in general. The room we had (standard) was dated but neat and clean! A bit small, but on the other hand, it had a large balcony 🙂 Because we were close to the Jumbo supermarket in the city center, there were many same-sex couples staying there. Nothing wrong with that..

Just returned after a 6 nights solo trip at the Servatur Don Miguel. Ill start with the good parts, staff were amazing, everyone was very friendly ( reception not so much, especially the young blonde fella who seemed in disbelief when i told him about the food quality) but the rest of staff were very friendly, chatty and definitely provided a service with a smile. Location was really good, close to beach shops etc, i recommend visiting puerto de mogan which is an hour away by bus, beautiful scenery. Staff at the restaurant and pool very helpful and always smiling. Cocktails at the pool very tasty, so was the food a la carte. The bad parts, the buffet food. Especially dinner, way below standards, food was below basic, no taste, no flavour, no texture. The meat kept having a funny taste every single time, I complained about this multiple times!! salad was dry every single day, they wouldn’t even chop their tomatoes, cucumbers as dry as sahara desert, ridiculous. There were very few options, very little choices. Deserts were shop bought most definitely, tasted horrible .Highly disappointing. I DO NOT recommend going half board. Breakfast was decent but still below of what was expected. Rooms clean but looking tired, definitely needs a improvement. Towels were changed everyday however no mopping or cleaning was done. Overall not bad but not sure I would stay again. Probably I would just come back for the pool and cocktails.

My new favourite hotel in Gran Canaria. Super clean, lovely breakfast and super lovely staff. Not to mention that is a stone throw away from Yumbo shopping/social hub. Already booked again for October 26, is that good. Thank you to all staff and see you soon!

Our stay (2 weeks) wasn't bad, but it wasn't excellent either. More like mediocre. The rooms are outdated, but the cleaning staff did a great job. The rooms were always very clean. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The same goes for the dinner buffet, which is why we often ate out. Check-in was rather impersonal. No explanations, as if they were annoyed. Check-out, on the other hand, was all the more friendly. The service staff at the buffet seemed a bit overwhelmed, especially the older, short waiter with glasses, who kept frantically snatching used plates from the table, resulting in sauce dripping onto my clothes on two evenings. No apology, nothing. The pool was great, as was the cleanliness of the entire complex. We were unlucky that during our first four nights, there was a large event at the Yumbo Center, the MMt Fest, with extremely loud music until late into the night and into the morning. Sleeping was therefore impossible. This hotel isn't really suitable for those seeking relaxation, partly due to the road in front. Two stars are too few, four too many. Hence, the middle ground.

The hotel is okay for the price I paid in low season. Pool area is great with good snacks. Rooms are good. Food in restaurant is basic, though lots of choice.

This week, on the night of San Juan, I made a reservation for one night for €120, but I had made a mistake and put the 24th to the 25th instead of the 23rd to the 24th. Five minutes later I realized my error and tried to change the dates. That's when @booking.com came into play, and they started passing the buck. Finally, on Monday, they told me the change was processed. I arranged everything, and on the day of arrival, Tuesday, they told me I had to pay an extra €36. Okay, I accepted the refund of the difference, which they made sure to remind me about and collect as soon as I arrived at the hotel. I went out for dinner and drinks, got back to my room, and went to bed at 9:00. I got up to take a shower and go downstairs for breakfast. And what a surprise! There was no cold water, only hot (boiling) water. We called reception and they told us it would be fixed in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes passed and nothing happened, so we called again. They told us that our building had run out of water and that they were looking for a way to move us to another room so we could shower. We told them we needed to shower before going down to breakfast (included in the price of 120+36) and that we only had until 10:00. We hadn't even washed our faces because the water was so scalding hot. 10:00 came, then 10:30, and we hadn't received a call back, so we called again. We had to leave the room at 11:00. They told us not to worry, that we could stay in the room until 12:00 and that it would be fixed. 12:30 arrived and we were still in the same situation: unable to shower, without breakfast, and still waiting for a solution. We went down to reception and they told us they offered us the courtesy room to shower and invited us to have something to eat at the pool bar. We went into the courtesy room and, to no one's surprise, THERE WAS NO WATER. So we went to get something to eat at the pool bar as they had told us. The receptionist came and told us that everything would be fine shortly. We ate and went back to reception. It was 1:40 PM and they told us that there was water in the courtesy room or a private room (which we didn't think was right, dirtying a room just to shower). We went into the courtesy room. Finally, there was water, but in the middle of one of our showers, the water stopped again. But it was only for 5 minutes, and then we had both finally showered and were able to leave the hotel. It was the second time we had stayed there, and many other times at other resorts in the Servatur group. But this morning's experience makes us think twice about returning.
