ibis Birmingham New Street Station

The hotel may not have been the newest or fanciest place on earth. The rooms were a bit worn and definitely had some stories to tell, but everything was functional and did the job. But honestly? The real 5-star experience was Ingrid. Absolute legend. So kind, caring, and genuinely lovely that she could probably improve the atmosphere of any building by at least 73%. She made us feel welcome, looked after, and somehow turned the whole stay into a warm and funny experience. Would I come back to be greeted by Ingrid again? Immediately.

I called up the hotel before and it was ringing for ages and then a lady awnsered and was rude to me from the start and only said two words to me which was hello and no. And I was really nice and I was only calling up because I'm moving to Birmingham and I wanted to know if they had any jobs available. So unprofessional and then she hung up on me straight away. Next time please be polite with whoever is calling 🙂

Had a nice stay at Ibis. It was clean, efficient and decent. The breakfast was better than I expected. The staff were lovely, especially Ingrid who was so helpful at breakfast and wonderful when myself and several colleagues needed to check out.

Great location just 4min from Birmingham New Street but rooms are starting to look tired and needs a refresh! Lovely breakfast and the bar area is great for a drink and to socialise.

Stayed one night in double room. Hotel was central, easy to find, friendly staff and check in and out was simple. The hotel and room facilities were excellent given the price. The room had everything needed for a short stay. It wasn't huge but well equipped and clean. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment, but had a drink at the bar which had a good vibe. Excellent value for money, will definitely stay again.

Decently decorated and ok facilities. Staff go above and beyond and are friendly rooms are OK beds are very and tvs are standard. Breakfast was OK just didn't enjoy it. And fairly quiet to be fair but does need air con

The location of the hotel is perfect for everything, all means of local public transport are all in very close proximity and in easy walking distance. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel as well. The room was in a little need of improvements or more in need of a bit of TLC. But very comfortable.

The underground 'parking' lot at this hotel is absolutely insane. It's the tightest, most cramped, underground parking lot i have ever seen. I scraped the side of my hire car trying to enter the entrance, which is tiny and wedged into a corner that is impossible to enter on anything other than an impossible 45 degree angle. Once you're in the car park (not an easy task), unless you're driving a smart car, you will need to do a 50 point turn around every pole in this cramped space to get out, and then pray to god you don't scrape the other side of your car getting out of this hell hole of a car park. Do yourself a favour and never drive a car to this location.

Rooms are fine for the price but could be cleaner.
