Excellent food and service, very attentive, good selection of meals on the lunch set menu

This resturant is so so good!! We fancied a steak off the whim so we initially checked out Pasture (which we also haven’t been before) but it was fully booked. I’m so glad we came here instead. Our servers Freya and Callum were so lovely and helpful! We had never had Flat Iron steak before (usually Sirloin or Rump) and we asked for their recommendations. They showed us by hand the size of the steaks roughly and then we asked which one they would recommend. They both honestly recommended the Flat Iron (which is the cheapest steak on the menu for £26!) and we couldn’t have been happier. It was cooked medium to well just the way we liked, the chips were so nicely seasoned and the peppercorn sauce was banging also. It came to £30 each roughly, and there was PLENTY of steak and chips that we were so full up. You might think the chips do look smaller in the pot in the photo but when you pour them out there is more than enough. Totally worth it and deffo coming here again! Really nice atmosphere too

Food was very nice, staff all very friendly, and welcoming, would highly recommend

The food was okay, good portion sizes and good seasonings. However the service let it down. I found myself having to constantly look around to find a server - at the start, we probably waited around 15-20 minutes to get our order taken (until I reached out to ask if they could take our order - and they weren’t even busy). There was one particular server who didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, he didn’t even utter a single word when delivering our food. We didn’t even have a server come over to ask if our food was okay during our meal. For the amount we pay (and the service charge), I’d expect the servers to be more attentive. And finally when it came to the bill, they wrongly charged us for the amount of water drank and unfortunately I didn’t question them as I had realised after we’d left that this had been done. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
