The Dragonfly

I chose this hotel ( it's a b&b definitely not a hotel) for the cost and reading previous reviews. Firstly it's never 4 star, 1 at a push! Alarm bells should've really been ringing with the cost 🫣 The room was small, not a problem, BUT the bed wasn't made properly, hairs on it, stains on the pillow cases. I stripped the bed to check for bugs and remade it back up myself. Stains on the mattress, carpet and a torn rug underneath. You might ask why didn't I ask for another room! The carpet on the stairs going up to the room looked like it hadn't been hoovered for a while so I guessed the other rooms wouldn't have been much better. Dust on the bathroom shelf, towels provided grey & washed out. Website outdated as they don't provide an evening meal on request, also no parking that's advertised in the website! Shower head black. Enough said!

A standard room can’t really complain about, tea coffee bottled water, plenty of space gives me a homely vibe, they have disposable bags for sanitary products which is amazing as every hotel iv been to iv had to take my own so was very nice not to bring them for once, The guy(glasses) that works here has been nothing but Amazing to us, very helpful and very kind, breakfast tasted decent can’t complain with that either, location is great so close to the sea front. would recommend staying here. Will definitely be back

Stayed here with my cousin for the bank holiday weekend. Brilliant location close to everything. Rooms were nice but could do with a little updated. Tea,coffee etc in the rooms. We didn't have breakfast but it was a good price. Only saw the hosts when checked in I went to the bar for a drink but no one came to serve me so I went to the shop instead. The last night we stayed the whole floor stunk of weed and a lot of noise was coming from the room which wasn't ideal. Not the hosts fault but could maybe do with a few checks. That wouldn't put me off staying again though.

Had a nice two night stay. The owners very friendly and could not do enough for you. Recommend you stay. Very close to amenities as well. Good luck guys. See you soon.
