Double charged £50 reached out multiple times with no response.

My friend and I were visiting from Ireland, and decided to have a pint before bed. We walked and were just told immediately "no" by the bouncer in front. No reason given, just "walk on." We're both pretty friendly, hadn't been drinking anything, early 40's gays. Having read the other reviews, it seems consistent that this place needs to go. Yes, it's the bouncer that's the issue; but the owner must know this issue and not care because it seems to be pretty well known. Queer people deal with enough; pretty wild the owners see all these reviews and don't seem to care.

Absolute joke I don’t even know why people waste there time trying to go there. Myself and 2 girls from my work just finished our shift at 10. Went into delmonicas first for our first drink ( blue wkd btw) and then tried polo and was refused for being too drunk. At first asking how much I had had to drink and then asking who I was with in the group that was standing in the line. When they noticed we was 3 girls they told us absolutely not. They door staff are rude, unprofessional and just dam right arrogant. If I could give them no stars I would. I have also heard this is an ongoing issue with them.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Door staff are rude rude people who are on some sort of power trip. Myself and 2 of my colleagues went out for a couple of drinks after work, we went into Delmonicas for 1 drink and then thought we would try polo for the rest of the night! Even though we knew how bad their reputation was for letting people in. As we approached the door there was no queue or anything, the female bouncer asked to see my friends ID and from that point proceeded to say we’d had too much to drink to try somewhere else when we knew we’d had 1 drink 🤣🤣🤣 GASLIGHTERS

Polo has went downhill, I thought it was maybe a one off when I went after pink pantheress, with the doorstaff and then I seen the rest of the recent reviews. Wow. I’ve been multiple times over many years and never experienced a “not tonight”. I did very much enjoy the gay bar next door though, which had a lovely atmosphere and a dance floor :)

So disappointing. Denied entrance on no real criteria while they let others in right after. The question was “have you already been here before?” I am on holidays and live in a different country, so no! Was I denied entrance because I never came here before? Such a strange atmosphere. So glad I left to go somewhere else though. This one is just another gay bar not letting girls in. Absolutely not inclusive.

Got thrown out for literally no reason, I had drank a single glass of beer and was promptly escorted outside. They told me I'd apparently 'puked on the stairs' something I know I didn't do, and when I protested they got aggressive and threatened to call the police. The place seemed nice, but the security was terrible.
